Lanni's POV

I was at Mickey's condo with Tahiry chatting it up. Her and Keila were playing in her room while Mickey and I were in the kitchen.

Me: Girl I need to find you a man, everybody got someone but you and Ari

Mickey: I already told you I don't need no man, I'm perfectly fine by myself.

Me: Guess you not getting nothing for Christmas cause that was your gift

Mickey: Your a mess Lanni.

Me: I'm serious I just want to see my best friend happy with someone.

Mickey: I am happy. Alone.

Mickey and I've been best friends since middle school, we were like partners in crime. No one could break us up, we did everything together. Even through out high school until Mickey got together with Khris and our relationship changed. It wasn't bad but it wasn't the same, then she got pregnant with Keila and Khris left her. I was there with her every step of the way. I wanted to kill Khris, I always hated that nigga since day one.

Me: Well at least your happy

Mickey: So how are you are Daren? How's it like being married for almost a year now?

Me: Not gonna lie its tuff but we get threw it everyday. So is Khris still around?

Mickey: Yeah, he's been spending a lot of time with Keila.

Mhm I rolled my eyes

Mickey: He's changed Lanni, a lot.

Me: Maybe, but I know he's still the same old Khris from high school..

Mickey: I still don't understand what you have against him.

Her doorbell rung, she went and opened it hugged the person. He walked in.

Me: Speaking of the devil..

Khris: Well if it isn't miss little Khalanni, long time no see

Me: Likewise

He gave me that same smirk he had since we were 15. I scoffed at him, rolling my eyes.

Khris: Still got that same attitude

Me: Still got that same-

I got cut off by Keila, which was probably best.

Keila: Daddy!

He picked her up and hugged her tight. Can't lie it was cute.

Khris: How my babygirl been?

Keila: Good, I've missed you daddy

Khris: You just seen me last weekend

Mickey laughed at her.

Tahiry: Hi! I'm Tahiry

Khris: Hello I'm Khris. You must be Lanni's ken, look just like her.

Tahiry: Ken?

Mickey: He means you two are related, this is her daughter.
