Chris was trying to get Sydney dressed, with no luck. She would run away from him when he would try and put on her clothes.

"Sydney Elizabeth, get over here right now," Chris said firmly.

Sydney giggled and ran out of the bedroom.

"Darren, your daughter is running towards you!," Chris yelled down the hallway.

Darren turned around just in time.  He grabbed the tiny girl and picked her up.  Sydney giggled.

"You are driving your daddies nuts, little one," Darren said.

Chris walked to the pair and smiled at Darren.  Darren held out Sydney so Chris could put her pants on her.  She squirmed and struggled to get out of her Daddy's grasp.

"Sydney, stop right now," Chris said firmly, lightly swatting her bottom.

Sydney stopped squirming, but then started crying.

"Well, you need to behave for Daddy and Papa," Chris said.

Sydney continued to cry.  Chris sat her on the couch in their living room and left. Sydney yelled and screamed for Chris, but he just ignored it.

He walked into the kitchen and Darren saw him. Darren hears Sydney crying in the other room.

"Why is she crying?," he asked.

Chris sighed. "Because I lightly spanked her because she wasn't behaving."

He put his head on Darren's shoulder. Breathing in, he smelled Darren's cologne. Old Spice.

"Ugh...  Why couldn't we get a book on parenting?," Chris asked.

Darren looked down at his husband.

"We did.  You just chose not to read it."

They both laughed.  Then they decided that they should go and check on Sydney.  They walked in to see her sitting up on the couch, her eyes puffy and red from crying.  Chris walked over to her and got down on her level.

"Sydney, can you look at Daddy, please?"

Sydney slowly looked up at Chris.

"Do you understand why Daddy put you in time out?," Chris asked gently.

"Because I was being bad," Sydney said quietly.

Chris nodded.

"That's right.  You have to be good and listen to Daddy and Papa so you won't get in trouble and get put in time out."

Sydney nodded, wiping her nose on her shirt.

"Now, what do you say to Daddy?," Chris asked.

"Sorry Daddy," Sydney said.

Chris nodded and gave his daughter a hug.

"Now, I think you need to say sorry to your Papa, too."

Sydney nodded and walked over to Darren.

"I sowwy for not listening, Papa."

Darren smiled and picked up his daughter, kissing her head.

"It's okay sweetie.  You just need to listen to Daddy and Papa and do what you're told."

Sydney nodded and laid against Darren's chest.

"I think it's nap time for someone," Chris said, stroking his daughter's hair.

"I'll take her," Darren said.

Chris nodded.  He kissed Sydney's head.

"Night sweetie," he said.

"Night Daddy," Sydney yawned.

Darren and Chris laughed.  Darren carried Sydney to her room.  She fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.  Darren sighed.  He walked out of the his daughter's room and closed the door slightly.

He and Chris then turned out the lights and went to bed themselves.

"Good night baby.  I love you," Chris said.

Darren smiled.

"Night honey.  I love you too."

They fell asleep holding each other's hands.
