A/N: I should probably warn you. If you don't like confusing or semi challenging story plots you'll have a hard time reading this. You've been warned!!

She was almost done. Half way through her morning routine and ready to take on the day.

She looked back at her reflection in the mirror- all pretty and professional like. She wasn't one to disappoint her dress attire.

She tucked in her white shirt, put on her maroon jacket, then put baby blue ribbons in her hair. She admired her reflection. She admired the other girl in the mirror.

She flipped her hair a little, deciding whether to have some on her shoulder or not. She decided to keep some of her curls on her shoulder.

He would like that.

While straightening her collar, she heard a faint tapping at her window.
Chuckling, she went over and opened it seeing a smiley looking boy propped up on the branch closest to her window.

"Hey," he said calmly.

"Hey," she said back less enthusiastically. He sighed.

"Do I get a kiss?" He responded.

She looked off into space pretending to think and then met eyes with him, staring deeply.

"Maybe," She said with a smirk.

She helped him inside the window, grabbing his hand and pulling the rest of him in.

"Sit here," She said to him and he nodded quietly while she shuffled through her drawers on the other side of the room. Once she retrieved what she was looking for she held it up towards him with a hesitant look on her face.

"Now listen...." She started, but he completed it for her.

"Michael."

"Michael...what you're asking me to do could change the whole course of your life...you understand that don't you?" She only cared about him. All she cared about was him.

He looked at her lips...wishing and wanting them to touch his desperate ones. But he held back what little affection he felt for her and said, "yes I understand."

She picked up the small black polish and took out the brush.

"Hands."

He obliged holding his hands out and she began painting.

******

"Luke."

He looked up from the tv in their living room and stared at his sister.

"Wha..." Luke started but trailed off when he saw Michael come from out of the hallway with make up on. He was wearing normal clothes instead of his uniform. It was topped off with a grey beanie that had small kitten ears.

"Michaelcliffordyoulookbeautifulohmygod," Luke mumbled to himself all in one breath. He walked closer to them.

She held a supportive hand in Michaels. He was glancing down a lot feeling small with Luke's eyes on him.

It wasn't till Michael smoothed out his fringe from his face that Luke noticed his nail polish.

"Mikey why...your nails are-"

"I know," Michael said cutting him off.

"She told me...your ex boyfriend...Calum...h-he used to wear black nails." Michael flung up his free hand.

Luke hesitated, slowly grabbing it and holding it. He just stared at the color.

"Michael..." He held onto him, squeezing slightly, "he's gone. You don't have to live up to him. I like you for you." Luke's eyes began to water.
