Our Little Secret

Chapter 9

~ Isabell ~

I woke up on my couch . Tissues surrounding me . A Walk To Remember in the DVD player on rewind .

Strange .

 I got up from the couch , and picked up all the tissues . I threw them away in the trash can in the kitchen .

When I turned back around a strange man dressed in only his underwear came walking into the kitchen . Half awake .

I grabbed a large knife off of the cutting board and began backing up slowly .

He looked up , threw his hands up in the air in surrender .

" Woah ! No need to use the knife . " he pleaded .

I walked around him , knife still in hands . I walked into the Laundry Room grabbed a towel and walked back to the kitchen .

I threw the towel at him .

He got the memo , and covered himself .

" Uh .. Sorry . " he said .

He was really tall , and had short brown hair , sharp facial features with a clean shave , he was very muscular , and had very pretty eyes . They were like a brownish gold .

" Who are you ? " I questioned .

" Sam . "

" What are you doing in my house ? "

" I'm Laura's boyfriend , who are you ? "

" Her daughter . "

" Oh yea .. You must be Isabell . " 

" Yea . Nice to meet you to . Go put on some clothes dude . "

He stood there .

" Did I stutter ? " I said .

" Uh .. No , I was coming in here to get some Tylenol for Laura's headache . " he said .

I crouched down , and opened the medicine cabinet . I shook out two pills and handed them to him .

" Thanks , and once again sorry . "

Sam headed back up the stairs , and I started to make some breakfast .

Since I had given him a rough time I decided to make him and Laura some breakfast too , to make up for it . 

I made three plates with Bacon , Eggs , Grits , Sausage , Biscuits , and Orange Juice .

I set the plates , and glasses on the Large Dining Table .

Laura and Sam came down the stairwell laughing , but fully clothed thankfully .

" ooo , breakfast smells yummy ! " they both say cheerfully .

" Thank you . " I smile .

They sit down at the table , and Sam starts digging in .

Laura lets out a loud " cough " signaling for him to stop .

" What ? " he says through a mouthful of food . Me and Laura let out a loud laugh .

" In our home , we say Blessing before eating . " I say .

" Oh , I'm so sorry . " He says while wiping the corners of his mouth off .

" It's okay . " I say back .

I take Laura's left hand , and Sam's right hand and say the Blessing .

After Blessing , we dig in .

Sam isn't actually a bad guy . He's really sweet and cares a lot about Laura .

I'm fine with that .

" So , how long have y'all been together ? " I asked .

" Well we've known each other since College , and started dating in College as Freshman's so .. " he trailed off thinking .

" Were going on 10 years together . Tonight is actually going to be our 10th year anniversary . So , If you don't mind Miss Isabell , I would like to steal your mother for the evening . "

" Fine by me , Me and Hunter are just going to hang out again . " I say .

" ooo , that cutie ? " Laura says .

" Yes mom . " I rolled my eyes playfully .

" Well , If he hurts you come to me . " Sam said .

I let out a laugh .

" Okay , ' Dad ' . " I joked .

I stood up from the table , put my dish in the sink , and walked upstairs .

Once I got upstairs , I went into my room and locked the door . I took a long hot shower , and decided to blow dry my hair .

My hair got frizzy from the blow dryer , so I straightened it afterwards . To tame my wild mane .

I put on a long tank top with a kitty's face on it that I got from Tilly's a few days ago , Dark Blue Skinny Jeans , and a pair of light blue VANS .

Its a lot warmer today .

I walk downstairs and out the backdoor .
