Chapter 28

Kali's POV

I woke up realizing that I've been sleeping a lot lately.

While turning over I noticed Jc was still beside me with his arm around me.

I tried to get up but as soon as I moved Jc moved me closer to him and said-

"Where are ya goin'?", with his eyes closed and smiling.

"To get my clothes back on...", I said trying to get up again.

"You can't wait a while? I wanna cuddle!!", he said while slowly opening his eyes.

I don't wanna p•ss him off so I'll stay for a while, "fine..", I gave in.

-25 minutes later-

Jake's POV

I'm in California visiting from Iowa to surprise Kali and Alli.

Allison gave me their address just so I could come over or whatever.

(Jake doesn't know that Allison is dead)

I'm pretty sure I was almost there I've been driving for a while.

Once I made it, I got the candy that I bought and took it with me with a smile along with it.

I unlocked the door and went inside to find Kali to surprise her.

I finally found her and I was about to walk in and sit. You know like I've been here the whole time.

I wanted to confess my love since the fourth grade but I was too shy so I'll do it today.

Kali's POV

"Hey do you know where my purple shirt that I have is?", I said while turning over to the room Jc was in.

I see Jake in my eyes view and throw everything in hand up and away as I run in fear.

But I remember it was Jake so I walked back to my room trying to catch a breath.

"WHY THE F•CK WOULD YOU SCARE ME LIKE THAT!?!?", I yelled in Jake's laughing face.

"I- really dunno but I got you and Alli some things!!", he said while giving me two boxes.

"Um about Alli.. she um... she killed herself.", I said while looking down and sitting on my bed trying not to cry like I always do but never succeed.

"Oh well at least you have more candy!!", Jake said while trying to enlighten the mood.

"Not helping..", I cried still holding my head down.

"Well let's talk about something else, catch up!!", he smiled.

"Okay, so.... how've you been?", I started.

"Great how about yourself??", he asked back.

"I guess I'm okay!!", I said finally looking up.

We continued talking for the next 20-25 minutes.

"Kali, there's something I wanted to tell and ask you!!", he said making me stop from laughing.

"I've had a crush on you since the fourth grade and I'm willing to change that!!", I looked at him in shock just as Jc walked out.

"Will you go out with me?!", he asked nervously.

I looked forward and back from Jake to Jc until I finally said, "I'm sorry Jake but no.. I have a boyfriend it's him right there...".

"Oh... well! I guess I'll go because I just made everything awkward..", Jake said while getting up.
