In a small open field on Mount Pao, an orange gi clad woman with black, spiked hair trained alone. Sweat ran across her tanned skin as she threw punch after kick to an unseen opponent, her middle-back-length hair swaying as she picked up her speed. The hair spiked wildly in different directions, a clump of bangs hovering out in front of her face, but never drooping down into her face itself. Her rounded face held a few sharp features, mainly her jawline as she clenched her teeth in exertion with a kick. Her eyes were narrow, their onyx color holding a bright shine as she focused on her imagined training partner.

In her head, she pictured a tall, green man in a purple gi. Two antennae stood atop his hairless head as he dodged her kick, bringing his hand up with a ball of energy pooling in his palm. The woman smirked and leaned to the side, avoiding the imagined attack by an inch as she drove her own energy ball up into his torso.

Instead of firing, she let the energy burst in her palm and dissipate before she stood straight and bowed, the green man fading away as she stopped her shadow training. She panted hard, wiping her brow with the blue shirt she had resting against a nearby rock. She sat down, picking up another bottle of water from the metal case she had been gifted by her friend, Bulma Briefs. The woman reached down to her feet and removed her boots, smiling in relief as she massaged her feet.

"Zara! What are you doing? We were supposed to leave for Master Roshi's fifteen minutes ago!" Zara looked up, smiling wide as a similarly spikey haired man in an identical orange gi walked into the clearing, a small child on his back with a familiar orange ball atop his hat. "Goku! Gohan! I'm sorry guys. I kinda got really into my training there!" She stood up, finishing her water and returning the bottle to the case before closing it. "Let me drop these clothes off at the house and we can go. I probably stink!" She laughed and followed them out as they made their way to a small house on the hillside. A kempt, black-haired woman met them at the door with a smile.

Zara smiled back and stepped by her, disappearing inside for a moment before returning in a fresh gi, holding the old one in her hands as she stepped out. "Chi-Chi, I'll be back to do these as soon as I can. We're really late for the reunion." Chi-Chi's eye twitched for a moment before she sighed. "I'll let you slide this time, Zara, but you two are going to clean when you get back, ya hear?" Zara nodded and turned to Goku and Gohan, smiling. "Guess we should get going then, before your mom changes her mind, kiddo!" Gohan giggled as Goku called for Nimbus; the gold cloud zipping down from above and lurching to a stop beside him. The three of them jumped up onto it and it took off, zipping into the clear sky above them.

Zara looked back to Goku and Gohan, smiling at them as her hair blew wildly and enveloped her face. Gohan giggled and Goku chuckled to himself as Zara stood, spinning in place and leaping from the cloud. Goku yelped in shock and reached out for her before he realized she was flying on her own. "Hey, when did you figure out how to do that?!" She smiled and waved at Gohan, spinning around Nimbus. "Well, Piccolo can fly! He used it a lot during our fight. I've been training pretty hard to get rid of any advantage he'll have for the next time we fight! I've even been working on a new technique just for him!" Goku raised a brow as she steadied out, holding her arms out and playing with the wind rushing through her fingers. "You'll have to show it to me when we get to Roshi's!" She shrugged before they both took off, zipping through the sky even faster.

Zara landed in a jog as Goku and Gohan landed in front of her, jumping down from Nimbus and waiting for her to reach them before they started walking towards the small house. "I can't believe how long it's been since we've seen everyone! We really need to find more reasons to hang out!" Zara laughed with Goku until they heard a woman's voice from inside the house.

"I think Goku and Zara are here!" The duo heard rapid footfalls before the door slammed open and their friends all poured out of the house. Krillin smiled and walked up to the pair as Bulma and Roshi followed, busily chatting before they also looked over to them.
