•River's POV•
When I got home, all I thought about was Grayson. He was so perfect. I don't know how I like him so much but I do. But then I thought about how he blew me off on the bus. I had to figure out what was going on.
Next Morning
I swung my feet over my bed and stretched out my arms.
"Ugh. School." I murmured under my breath.
I got up, got dressed and put on my makeup. I took one last glance in the mirror before I left.
I grabbed my bag and walked out the door, skipping breakfast as usual.
I got to the bus stop and saw Grayson leaning up against the street sign. I walked over to him.
"Hey." I said.
"What do you want?" he asked.
"Oh I'm sorry have we all of a sudden 'not met?'"
I say quoting my words using air quotes.
"Who are you?" he asks.
"River. River Rawlins." I say.
"Oh so you're that little anorexic one everyone has been talking about?" he says with a rude tone.
"Grayson...."
"How can you not eat? You're not fat.." I cut him off.
"Grayson it's not about my size." I said rubbing my temples with my index fingers.
"Then what is about?" he asks.
"It's a mental problem in my brain. I've had to deal with it for almost a month now. It started off as wanting to feel slim but then..." I paused.
"But then it turned into an actual chemical locked in my brain. It's like it controls everything now. My parents have tried everything. I just, don't even know what I do it for anymore." I lied.
He looked down at me and pulled me into a hug.
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." he whispered, then let go.
"It's just that, my mom died from anorexia 2 years ago and truly it was the hardest thing ever for me to deal with. But I don't want to lose you like I lost my mom. You mean to much. Look I know we just met and all but, you still mean a lot to me. Remember that ok?" he said.
"Ok."
Hey look I know Lisa is alive and well and surely not dead for anorexia so keep that in mind;) 🎡🌅🎆🌈
