Chapter 6:Distorted

Confusion:Uncertaintity about what is happening,intended or required.

The doctors came filling into the room,all with different expressions on their faces.Riley reacted as calmly as she could under the circumstance she was in and was thankful that her so called friends weren't there to witness whatever the doctors were going to say.
"Miss Matthews,we have some news that we are sure will come as great relief to you."
Rikey sighed,greatful that the information she was about to recieve was going to be even slightly good.
"Your parents are arriving home today and they are going to sign you out of the hospital meaning that you are free to go home.Of course you will have to stay in New York for a while so then you can come for check ups but other than that you can leave.Congratulations Riley."
Relief washed over Riley's face before confusion and panic took over.Who were Riley's parents?Would she remember them once she saw them?What if they couldn't cope with her?
"Miss Matthews,are you okay?"
Riley snapped out of her state.She became aware of the heat in her cheeks and her heavy breathing.
"Ye-Yes I am fine."
She paused for a moment before a thought came to mind.
"Can you call Farkle Minkus and tell him to come to the hospital right now?"
She didn't know why she wanted Farkle to be there with her but she felt safe with him.She felt like he actually cared about her.

Riley's eyes scanned over her room one last time before taking the hand that was infront of hers.It squeezed against hers creating a comforting feeling in the pit of her stomach.
"Riley ho-"
Topanga and Cory walked into the room to witness the events that were happening.Riley and Farkle where just stood holding hands,staring into each others eyes.
"Are you ready to leave now?Everything is ready."
Riley broke the gaze of Farkles and gave a faint smile before nodding.
"I will have to be ready.As long as Farkle is here I will be fine."
Everyones expressions changed when Riley said that.No one was expecting her to lean on Farkle,especially since she had Maya to help her out,but then again Riley had to rediscover all of her feelings and emotions in some way and maybe Farkle was that way.She felt some strange connection towards Farkle that she didn't feel when she saw or heard he others.Not even Charlie's voice made her feel the way Farkle did.
Maya
To say maya was upset about the incident was an understatement. To say she knew where Riley was and what she was doing before the incident was a lie. To fully accept that her Riley any never come back was an impossibility and maya would try every day to bring back her Riley.
Everyday maya would sit in the hospital room with Riley whilst she watched the T.V or slept. Everyday she would see the same lifeless eyes she had seen for a long time. Like a different soul was in Riley's body. Still, maya would sit and watch Riley suffer everyday. She never told Riley that she was hankering not to leave. That she hated hospitals with a passion. That she didn't know why she had so much hope for something so pointless. That the fact that Riley wouldn't smile till Farkle arrived killed her. Still, she stood by her side whilst Riley Kent on farkles shoulder and stared into his eyes like a love struck teenager. She would laugh at her silly jokes. She stood by towns everyday. Staring at the open window. Wondering what it would be like to leave everything behind and just run. To escape. Oh what adventures she could have. If she only could.
Farkle
Farkle had been keeping dibs on Riley ever since she left for college. He wanted to make sure that she would always be Riley and always be safe. It was fun as well. He loved seeing how her life was going. He loved seeing her date because it made her happy. Even is he didn't approve of who she was dating. Charlie especially. His relationship with smackle had ended long ago. On good terms of course and the two were still close friends and colleagues. His feelings for maya had dropped as well. The high five had nothing. No spark. He loved her in a platonic way. As did she. Riley however was always the dream girl. The one that got away. Oh what could've been. so when Riley started paying more attention to him after the accident, he was delighted. And confused. This wasn't Riley. This girl with the lifeless eyes was not the Riley he fell in love with. She was not who she used to be.
Did he want the old Riley back? Of course
Would he give anything to change the what happened? Of course
Would he love her regardless?
Why yes.
Yes he would.

We're terrible horrible people and we grant you permission to throw stones at us. This is so late and we haven't been active for a very long time. We've had extreme writers block really with stress with everyday lives and stuff so we haven't had time to think of ideas or write these. Things have seemed to die down now though so hopefully. Fingers crossed. We'll get back into a better routine.
