Ray's POV
I watched as Ari laid in the hospital bed. My mom, Dahja, and Jacob Jr were in the room with me.
I held on to Ari's hand, as I whispered words of encouragement. "C'mon, baby. I've got your kids here. I've got my mom here. You've gotta wake up, for me."
"Ray," my mom said, while grabbing my shoulder "sit down, honey." I sat down burying my face in my hands. "Why? Why? Why?" I said leaning back, hands still over face.
"Honey, sometimes, things happen that we can't explain, but when they do," my mom placed a hand on my leg "there's nothing we can do about it. All we can do is hope. God has a plan for everything, and you might not see it now, but you'll see it later. And if you don't, maybe, it wasn't meant for our Earthly eyes to see, but more for out Heavenly eyes to see. I'll keep her in my prayers, but for now, I've gotta go. I'm tired and I'm sure your little ones are too. So we'll just be-"
"Wait," we heard a faint voice cry. We looked over at Ari, she had woken. "Ari!" I exclaimed. "Shhh, they'll wheel me away." She weakly smiled.
"I wanna see our kids." She motioned for my mother I bring our kids forward.
She kissed then each and told them both she loves them. "Mommy's sick, but go to sleep. I'll be back." She smiled weakly.
My mother left with the kids, and I stayed with Ari. We stared into each others eyes. I kissed her passionately as she kissed back. "I love you." I said as we pulled away. "I love you too." She said.
Then, she started coughing up blood uncontrollably. "Doctor! Doctor!" I screamed.
Finally, a doctor arrived. "We're gonna need you to le-" he stopped as he watched Ari cough up a big chunk. "Oh my gosh, that's her heart." He mumbled. As Ari's eyes closed, she mouthed 'I love you' to me.
"Noooooo!!!" I screamed, fighting through the doctors trying to grab Ari, but they all held me back.
As I sat in the waiting room, the doctors came out five minutes later, pronouncing her dead saying there was nothing they could do.
I couldn't believe it, she was gone. My love was gone. I cried until I couldn't cry anymore.
She was gone and THAT was the end.

It's based on the kids.
