Prologue.

(Zelo's POV)

I opened my sleepy eyes, and am greeted by the light of the new morning. The air is still, and for some reason, uncomfortable.

"Kimmie?" I asked, as I turned over and felt the sheets next to me. Empty. I sat up in the bed, and contact my friends through our link.

Hey guys, have you seen Kimmie? I didn't find her in the room when I woke up. I said into the public mind link, maybe she heard me, hopefully she did.

Sorry, I haven't seen her- I heard Daehyun try to say, before a scream erupted from the forest. It was Kimmie! I felt a rush of pain slack my chest, and I knew exactly what was going on.

I'll save you! I thought as I stood up from the bed, not caring that I was only in sleep pants, and walk over to our balcony doors.

I opened the balcony doors, jumped out and off of the sill, and on to the cold grass. It didn't hurt as much, but my pain doesn't matter. I could feel her emotions, I could taste her fear. I could feel my anger overwhelm me, as I ran faster into the woods.

I ran so fast, I didn't know where I was going but going only to the sound of my wife's voice. Her cries were scared, and that was fuelling my energy and legs to run even faster and faster, until coming to a stop in front of her.

"Kimmie!" I yelled. I looked down at the man who had a gun in his holster, but his knife out of it's sheath and against Kimmie's neck, which bled blood from the amount of pressure he was using.

"Aww, Look. The little puppy came out here to save his mate. How cute. Here, take her if you'd like. We have no need for her." The man says, pushing Kimmie back over to me.

She stumbled but then, as quick as a flash, I was in front of her. A loud bang was heard throughout the forest, as I held my chest where the bullet laid dormant, where crimson red flowed through my fingers. I fell to my knees, and the pack surrounded me.

The man is gone as quick as light, and my wife laid on the ground, looking down at me with tars threatening to fall from her eyes.

"No...No no no!! Junnie please don't do this!" I heard Kimmie cry, as she laid my head down in her lap. It was getting difficult to focus on her beautiful face, and it became even worse when she started to cry. I lifted my hand up to her cheek and wiped her tears away, and smiled.

"I'll be fine, my love. Stop crying for me, and chin up. I'll always be your Junhong, your Zelo." I said, as I felt the need to cough, but avoided Kimmie so none of my blood would get on her clothes. She puts her hand on my cheek, feeling the softness of it. I warm up to her hand, feeling my heart break, this may be the last time I get to see her.

"Kitten, Please don't leave me. I love you, we have a life here, we have children. Please don't leave me behind..." Kimmie said, as one of her warm tears fall onto my pale skin.

"I will always be your Kitten. I love you too, but be strong for our children. They will need you..." I felt my eyes get heavier and heavier, slowly being surrounded by darkness.

"Junnie? Junnie don't leave me, don't you dare leave me. I love you too much DON'T LEAVE ME!....."

Then the darkness envelops me, and my beautiful mate's face disappears from my sight.

I love you, Kimmie. We will be together again, I promise.
