Chapter 16.

~+~+ Vanessa pov~+~+
( Before the help came.)
I was sitting on the floor. I can't believe this. And I know if my father does anything to anyone I have to save them.
Me: " You are not going to get away with this!" I yelled. Then I heard footsteps coming down the stairs.
Dad: " What was that?"
Me: " I said you are not going to get away with this."
Dad: " Oh but I am. Guess what no one knows where we are."
Me: " That's what you think."
Dad: " What do you mean?"
Me: " Oh I don't know maybe you are dumb and forgot to get my phone."
Dad: " What?"
Me: " I have people coming to get me."
Dad: " Yeah right."
Me: " Really look at my phone."
Dad: " Where is your phone?"
Me: " You got to find it."
He started to look for it and he found it.
Dad: " What is your password?"
Me: " 1476."
He found my messages as he was going though them I tried to run. But he grabbed me.
Dad: " We are going to have fun tomorrow now you should get some sleep."
He left and he also has my phone. But this was part of the plan. I lied down on the ground and fell asleep.
( The next day.)
Dad: " Wake up, your help is almost here and you are going to do what I say, got it?"
Me: " What do I need to do?"
Dad: " You are going to be on the floor and you are going to slow down your heart beat. I will come out. Once I say that you can get up you do. You are going to act like you don't need them. You understand?"
Me: " Yes."
Dad: " Good."
( 10 minutes later.)
Dad: " Get on the ground."
I did what I was told. I heard footsteps and I heard Grape's voice.
Grape: " Vanessa can you hear me?"
My dad came out.
Grape: " WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER?!"
Dad: " Nothing. Hey Vanessa you can get up."
I got up and Grape saw me.
Grape: " Vanessa are you okay?"
Me: " Yeah why wouldn't I be?"
Grape: " Your pulse was weak."
Me: " Oh yeah about that. Did you forget that I have powers."
Grape: " But why?"
Me: " Because I can use my powers now. I been training them."
Grape: " This isn't you."
Me: " But it is."
Dad: " Should I do it or you Vanessa?"
Grape: " Do what?"
Me: " You can do it."
Then he raised the gun at Grape.
Dad: " Any late words son?"
I can't let Grape get shot.
Grape: " I love you Vanessa."
As he closed his eyes, my dad was about to shoot. I ran and blocked him. I hit the ground and I saw people tying up my dad. And that's where Grape came into view.
Grape: " No Vanessa stay with me."
Me: " I sorry that I acted but I couldn't let anything happen to you."
That's when the darkness took over me.

Everyone got to the hospital and waited in the waiting room for any news. I was on Twitter telling them that Vanessa was in the hospital and that I will update soon. About 45 minutes later a doctor come out.
Doctor Abby: " Are you Sean?"
Me: " Yes."
Doctor Abby: " Hi I'm Abby and I'm Vanessa's doctor. I got good and bad news."
Me: " What's the good news?"
Doctor Abby: " Good news the gun shot didn't hit anything major."
Me: " Ok what's the bad news?"
Doctor Abby: " She has lost a lot of blood and she is in a coma. I'm sorry."
Me: " Can we see her?"
Doctor Abby: " Yes but only two at a time."
Me: " What's her room number?"
Doctor Abby: " 140 on the first floor."
Me: " Thank you."
I walked back to the group.
Me: " Good news the shot didn't hit anything major. Bad news..." I started to cry.
Bee: " What's the bad news Sean?"
Me: " She lost a lot of blood and is in a coma." I said still crying.
Parker: " Can we see her?"
Me: " Yes two at a time and her room it's 140 on the first floor."
Mark: " Do you want to go first?"
Me: " No I can't yet she saved my life by risking hers."
Straub: " Dude you are going to see her right?"
Me: " Yes but not now I'm going on a walk. Mark can you come with me?"
Mark: " Yeah."
As Mark and I left the hospital I look back to see the group sent Ryan and Graser off first. We walked to the park that was two blocks up. As we got there I sat down on the bench.
Me: " I'm sorry that you are here with them at the hospital."
Mark: " It's fine I get it you guy's are dating."
Me: " I wish she didn't do this. I should be the one in that bed right now."
Mark: " Don't say that Sean."
Me: " But it's true."
Mark: " Do you know why she blocked you?"
Me: " No."
Mark: " Because she loves you. And because you have so any people counting on you."
Me: " Yeah but how do you know that?"
Mark: " Before we adopted Vanessa she was one of those people."
Me: " Thanks man do you want to go back now?"
Mark: " Sure let's go."
We got back and I told them that I will go last. They understood why and I'm thankful for that. About 20 minutes later it was my turn. As I walked up to the room I started to get scared. I walked in to see the love of my life in a hospital bed. I saw all the tubes she was on. I pulled up a chair and held her hand.
Me: " Oh Vanessa why did you do this? I should be here, not you. I remember the first time I saw you. I knew you were the one. Not just for me but as a new member to the family. When you told us about your life, I know that I don't know what I would have done if that was my life. And you had that dream well I guess that's not a dream anymore because it happened. You told me that you blocked me from getting shot. Well you did and you are in a coma for it. And you ask me to stay with you and I woke up to you singing. You have a great voice. And you finished and everyone heard you. You found out that I was recording and post the video on YouTube. I remember the time that we went on a walk and you passed out. You scared everyone, you know that right? That was the day I told everyone that I like you. And we went on a date and you started to cry when I opened the door for you. When we got home you told everyone about your EX. And we found out that you have powers. I remember the night that I asked you to be my girlfriend and you said yes. Please weke up Vanessa. You are strong. I love you to the moon and back. Please open your beautiful eyes for me."

Author's note- So I typed this and I published it. But I when back to make sure it was good about 4 hour later and it didn't save half of it. So I retyped it and I like this end a lot more.
