And the Truth Comes Out

I found myself sitting on the cave floor, Adelberto and Mytho staring straight at me.
"Duck," Mytho said through gritted teeth, "do you have something to tell us?"
I could tell from the look in his eyes that he knew something, I just didn't know how much.
"Are you going to tell him or should I?"
I glared at him, "And will doing us get us out of the cave?"
Mytho laughed, bitterly "Why do you even care about if we get out of the cave? Wouldn't you prefer we die sooner?"
"Not anymore." I said it softly. "I made a mistake, Mytho, I know that. But you've made mistakes too."
Adelberto looked between us, "What is he talking about?"
I looked at Adelberto, and stuttered,"I, I decided not to save you anymore." His eyes widened but I quickly recanted"I mean I did, but not anymore Adelberto. I'm sorry it was a mistake." His eyes widened and I saw his shock.
Mytho yelled, "A mistake? Setting us up to die was a mistake?!" He looked so angry, I could almost see it leaking out of him. "How could you do this to us Duck?! We brought you here to help, but instead you're trying to help Drosselmeyer." His eyes almost burned with rage. Almost like he was possessed
"Adelberto! Grab your sword! That's a heart stone controlling him!"
Adelberto looked hesitant, "How do I know you're not lying?"
I looked him in the eyes, "You'll just have to trust me."
I started my transformation, and had barely had completed it when Mytho screamed and charged at me. I put my hands up, afraid this would be the end and then I saw a sword keeping Mytho away from me, and Adelberto hesitantly wielding it.
"I've always trusted you."
I felt my heart squeeze in my chest, and just nodded unable to speak. Then I extended a hand to Mytho and begin my dance.
"I know I've done wrong Mytho, but anger will not solve anything." I pleaded.
He brought me close and spun me away, "How else am I supposed to feel when you betrayed me Duck?"
I walked towards him, and extended my hand," Anger is reasonable, but only if you don't let it control you."
He stood still and I could see awareness come back into his eyes as he accepted my hand. Then the heart stone came out of his chest and appeared right before Adelberto.
His heart stone stared at me for a second before returning to Adelberto, his rage still evident.
Then Adelberto turned to me with a glare and said "Now that I can feel anger again, let's talk Tutu."
