Side shuffled down the dark hall quickly pulling a large blanket around his shoulders along with him. As his pace quickened so did the end of the hall,at the end of the hall was door with little light peeking under. Side reached the end of the hall in a matter of seconds,he had rushed through the large house to get to the other side just to see one person.

Side knocked lightly and waited as his eyes tried their best to stay open. He was quite tired and to say a little afraid as well.

The door handle quietly turned and the door opened to reveal a tired looking Shadow,once the older male saw Side his tired frown became bigger.

"What!?" Shadow snapped mad that he'd been woken up. Side avoided his eyes looking down at the ground and let out a small huff. Shadow took time to view his features closely. Dark,red,and puffy circles surrounded his eyes,tan skin a bit pale,eyes a little shaky and breathing uneven. Shadow was now a little worried.

Even though he'd softened a bit he still tried keeping his tough guy demeanor. "Well..?" He asked Side as the smaller male looked down further,now at his feet.

"I....I had a bad dream and...I'm scared" Side said childishly looking up at Shadow. He had been crying for his blue eyes were tinted a light red.

Shadow was taken back a little for the young happy giggling boy wasn't doing any such thing. Shadow sighed,sure he hated Side but he also loved the hell out of him,he'd just never showed it. "I know what you're hinting at,come in" Shadow said and moved out of the way for the shorter boy to set into the room.

Side nodded and awkwardly stepped into Shadow's room. A small lamp sat on the end of the nightstand. Shadow's bed was large but not that large;more then one person could sleep in.

His room was quite clean and organized. Posters painted the white walls along with some albums of famous artists. Side actually liked the room,it was big compared to his but he knew that he didn't need much space himself.

Shadow quietly shut the door and walked to his bed,climbing in. Shadow laid his head on the pillow and turned away from the light. Side just stood awkwardly not knowing what to do.

Shadow let out an annoyed sigh and sat up. "Are you getting in or what?" He asked moving the covers slightly to somewhat invite him in. Side nodded and walked towards the bed,he laid down and pulled the sheets over himself.

He listened as Shadow laid back down,Side just laid there thinking about the nightmare he had and how he woke up sweating and crying. As he thought Shadow turned to face Side who was facing the lamp.

"You know if you want you can turn off the lamp" Shadow mumbled to Side,Side flinching slightly at the sudden noise. Side shook his head. "I'm afraid of the dark" his somewhat deep voice rang out. Shadow just nodded.

During the night Side woke up once again with a start,he was breathing heavily,heart racing in his chest.

He let out a muffled sob,his blanket muffling out the loud cries. Shadow slowly awoke,confused he listened closely to hear Side crying. "Hey" Shadow said comfortingly.

Side quieted down a little trying his best to sound asleep without sniffling. "Sidearms,are you okay?" Shadow asked sitting up,facing him.

Side nodded hiding his face as the light made it clear he was crying again. "Hey,Side" Shadow moved his hand and gently turned Sides face so that he was facing the older male. Side watched as Shadow moved his thumbs wipping away the tears.

Shadow looked at Side who was blushing a bit and sighed. "Come here" he grumbled and opened his arms. Side basically dove into his chest hugging him tightly. Shadow didn't care,as long as Side felt safe that's all he needed.

They laid back down,Side's face buried in Shadow's chest. As few minutes pass Side was now asleep,calm as could be. Shadow listened to his light snores and kissed his forehead before falling asleep himself. Side smiled and snuggled closer to the older male.

This took be at least an hour,I'm tired but I thought it would be a cute idea. ^_^
