It's not like he didn't like his friends, no, he loved them. Great company, nice for the most part and incredibly funny. Of course, he's only seen them a few times, it didn't count for much if you asked him. Sure, yeah, they're cool and all but having online friendships only reach so far. Since all of them lived so far from each other, it would be a life changing event to meet,  all together, and it was. For the first few times. Sidearms has known them all for so long, told them everything and even mailed gifts to each other. He was so young, dumb and childish but now that he was growing up, these men had gotten quite boring. It was noticeable that his personality was changing, it wasn't like he would stay a hormonic teen forever. Yeah, maybe he did spend a little too much time talking to people that went to his college and not enough time trying to maintain his relationship with his online friends. Yeah, maybe he did spend too much money on fancy cologne and hair products to buy games for his friends whenever he thought they'd like it. And yeah, maybe he was a little too sarcastic and sassy when talking with his online friends.

You can't be mad at him for getting bored with these people, it's been years of the same old thing. Some people join, some people leave, some people go through things, whatever. It was a cycle, Something Side never liked. But he also never liked change. In fact, he hated it. He was still nice, giggly, happy around them, they had helped him a lot and he was extremely grateful for that. Speedy was always there for him when he was sad, G18 when he was lonely, Joel when he wanted to joke around, D4 when he needed help with something; hell, he even loved Shadow once. He was amazed how long he lasted. How long he could go, convincing himself that they were never going to change for him if he never changed for them. They held up their side of the bargain. Sidearms knew this had to change, it killed him inside to even think about it. He spent days upon days thinking of how he'd break it to them.
'Should I be blunt?' No, he'd seem like an asshole, 'How about subtly?' No, he'd seem ungrateful, 'Should I talk to one of them at a time?' No, you know that wouldn't go well.

"I know," he hummed lightly as he turned over from his back to his stomach, the beanbag he was laying on screeched in protest. "Oh yeah? How will this go down, spill," Wyatt, his middle school friend asked as he scrolled through his phone on the couch across from him. His platinum blonde hair bright as snow in the sunlight. It reminded Side of Shadow's, although a little longer than G's had ever been. "You'll do it," Sidearms said smugly, tucking his arms under his chin and watched Wyatt look up from his phone to raise and eyebrow at his friend. "No," Wyatt mumbled, shaking his head and going back to scrolling. Sidearms let out an annoyed huff, "Why no?" he asked, basically pleading. "Because they're your friends, not mine," and with that Sidearms threw himself on his side and looked at the brick wall of his dorm. Alright, he'll do it tonight.

"Hey," Side said warmly, the call was bright with laughter and they had just started it. It made him wanna turn back and runaway, leave it for another day. Another day meant suffering a little longer, that's okay. 'No, you just need to say what is important and leave. Never return,' thoughts he had were a lot more confident than he was. "We need to talk, I have something important to say," Sidearms said loudly, everyone stopped. Silence followed and hung, thick with tension that was only effecting Side, or would only effect Side. "Is our little Sidey getting married?!" Speedy gasped loudly and giggled, "Whose the special someone? Hmmmmm," Hova asked and wiggled his eyebrows, not like anyone could see.
"I'm leaving," Shit. That's not what was supposed to come first. This time, the silence was like a knife, cutting harshly at Side's stomach, making it knot uncomfortably. "I'm sorry, what?" Shadow asked, anger and confusion were clinging tightly on his words.

Fuck it.

"I'm leaving, not coming back. I love you guys, truly, but I can't anymore. It's not the same. I'm not young and stupid anymore, it's getting boring and it's just a cycle. I'm sorry but I no longer want to talk or be associated with people like you," That wasn't how it was supposed to end but if it got the job done, then so be it.
"People like us?!" Shadow yelled at the mic, "Sidearms, are you seri-" D4 was about ask when D20 interrupted him, "You're joking, right?" His voice trembled lightly, this was the kid who would stay by his side 24/7  and ask him questions or play games with him. "You're such a fucking idiot. You are so selfish, get over yourself!" Shadow was almost in tears with how angry he was, this wasn't right. "Shadow please-" Sidearms would've let Speedy finish but he was angry, this was starting to get annoying. "Selfish!? I have been nothing but honest and nice to you! I have dealt with those snide and rude comments for all the time we've friends, I can't believe you'd say that because you've is a dumb fucking asshole to me. But thanks," Sidearms growled, it was rare whenever he got mad but he furious and he didn't care anymore.

No one talked, no one moved, no one did anything. They all knew what was about to happen but no one wanted to believe to it.
"Goodbye," and with a disgusted sigh he left. At least he over with them.

Giggling Cornboy has left the group.
