Chapter Five

Skillfully, I slot the taser knife to the pocket there. I felt Tessa's face hovering above my head, I look up.
True enough, Tessa's wide baby blue eyes were now gazing into my sky blue ones. I was mesmerized by her.
'I am willing to spend my eternity just looking at her expressive eyes and delicate face.'
I began to move closer to her. I wasn't nervous at all, because I saw in her eyes, she wanted it as much as I do.
Now I am only a breath away from her soft pink lips. Her eyes heavily lidded , she was breathing a little faster, anticipating.
'BEEEEPP BIPPP'
Surprised by the sudden interruption, I immediately pulled away. Tessa widened her eyes and her cheeks flushed. I sighed, the moment is over. Lovely. Just lovely.
"Yes, Marquis?" I asked the Qureater.
A Qureater is a program that controls my entire house and does what I requested and needed it to do. To prevent a break-in, I had installed the main chip into a robo-monkey. It is agile and nimble with abilities equipped to prevent my house from being taken over by assailants .
In order for me yo talk to it, I have it call it by a codeword, or basically a name. I decided that since calling him qureater is such long and troublesome , I named him Marquis.
As usual Marquis is perched on the top of my book shelves. I turned my gaze towards Marquis and Tessa spoke,"That's Marquis?"
"Yup. That's him." I said and glance sideways to Tessa. Her face registered recognition, which is weird since they certainly would not have met before. I think it impossible .
"You know that little fellow?" I asked curiously. Tessa blushed a deep shade of scarlet. I stared at her, waiting for her to spill the beans when Marquis spoke.
"Signore Kaeith. You have an important event to attend this evening." I ran my fingers through my hair and sighed.
"Right."

'Signore?' I frowned at Marquis's use of the word. 'If I'm not wrong, Signore means Lord in Italian.' I thought. Seems like Marquis love calling people with royal titles. Then again, his name sound royal-ish.
"Will you come with me this evening?" Kaeith turned to me and looked right into my eyes. Taken aback by the sudden intensity of his eyes, my knees went jelly and I nearly collapse.
"I...I.." I stuttered, a slight blush spreading onto my cheeks.
"I..have no idea what is this event that you are talking about." I frowned and looked away,trying yo escape his staring .
"Mind filling me what is going on this evening?"A look was exchanged between Kaeith and Marquis, I would have missed it if I wasn't staring at Kaeith from the corner of my eye .
Kaeith's shoulder seemed to slump a little and mumbled,"Alright I will tell her."
I sat on the nearby chair and waited nervously for what felt like eternity when Kaeith spoke again, "Tessa?". I looked up in anticipation.
"This evening, I'm supposed to go to the annual technoball." I slowly nod my head in confusion . "And..and..." Kaeith hesitated. "...and I am supposed to find my future wife."
I paused, absorbing the information, "If I went with you, wouldn't I intrude your wife searching mission?" I wasn't intending on being so sacarstic but I was slighty hurt. Why would he bring me to the technoball only to have him look for his 'future wife' .
Kaeith stood up, kneeled down in front of me and said softly, "I didn't want to find a wife. My reason for bringing you there is..." He paused. He look down to the floor and murmured, "to allow you to be recognised by the people of Kelta.."
My fingers, on it's own accord, stretched towards Kaeith's face and brushed against his cheek. Softly, I tilted his face up. His sky blue eyes shone with earnesty and my eyes were drawn towards his once again . Before I could even think of what was happening , I spoke the words, "I understand. I will go with you." My eyes widened, taken aback.
The words that came out of my mouth, felt as though I had spoken what my heart wanted to say .
Kaeith looked extremely relieved. He stood up quickly and broke into a wide charming smile, "Thank you Tessa. I will ask Marquis to prepare a dress for you this evening." He took my hands and said.
"I will make you the most beautiful woman there."
This time I didn't trust myself to speak, so I gave a him a shaky smile and a nod instead. With that, Kaeith turned to face Marquis and started giving out instructions.
Marquis seem to nod his head and go to a daze before saying, "Your request had been sent, Signore Kaeith. " Marquis paused, and after another blank look, continued, "It will reach on time."
Kaeith looked at his Fetolia activater and turned to look at me , "We still have time." He smiled at me, "Do you want to go out for a walk?"
"Sure!" I replied excited . 'Finally I'm going outside to explore the alien planet Kelta.' I thought. 'I definitely want to go outside and get to know more about this foreign planet.'
Kaeith gave me his sexy grin and my heart lurched in my chest . Surprisingly, he held out his right arm like a gentleman and waited for me. I stood up and softly rested my left hand on his muscular arm.
Then, we walked out of the door.
