"Please put on your gown in the bathroom over there." Marquis showed me. Gingerly, I took hold of the gown and make my way to the bathroom.I had put on the gown gently and now I look at myself in the mirror.
The sky blue gown made my pale skin look paler but with a hint of glow that made me feel ethereal. I smiled at my own reflection and allowed myself a giddy moment to spin around and watch the gown flare out and twirl prettily. What? A girl's gotta have a little girl-time even if she is in another planet.
"This feels like my dream." I sighed happily as I remember my childhood memories. When I was young, I would pretend that I am a little princess and put on my gorgeous little dress and proceed to walk around my house as though I am walking inside my own castle.
I still remember that time when I was six, I brought home my art drawing and showed it to my mother. My mother smiled warmly and said that it was a beautiful piece of work. I had then beamed with pride when she said that, for that drawing was of my dream gown. And now I am wearing the very same gown that I had always yearned to wear.
'This seems too good to be true.' I thought dreamily. I smiled happily, hoping to soak in this bliss as much as possible, for my friends had used to say, "Whenever you feel happiness, know that it will be lost. As nothing is forever or of eternity ".
Oh how true it would be as I would know later. I was still staring at myself in the mirror when Marquis, on the otherside of the bathroom door, called, "Signorina Tessa. I need to do your hair now."
"Coming!" I called back. I took one last look at my reflection, regretting that I didn't brought my camera and walked out of the bathroom.
"Finally." Marquis muttered. I scowled, "You should let a girl enjoy herself. This is the first time, I had ever worn such a beautiful gown."
"Well. Signorina, I can never understand you humans." Marquis replied, sounding hurt. 'Huh. That sounded unlikely because I am sure that Marquis did showed some human feelings in his speech and actions.' I thought again. 'Was he doing it unknowingly or perhaps he does have feelings too? Or was it an upgrade in the system?'.
As I ponder on these questions, I was guided by the machine hand to a seat."Alright. I shall start." Marquis said."Wait. Hang on." I said suddenly, "You are.. you are going to work on my hair?". I asked incredulously. "Why yes, Signorina." Marquis replied. I swear, he really sounded bored and very human-like."O-okay." I said uncertainly.
"Close your eyes please, Signorina." Marquis requested. I did as I was told.He began to work his way with my hair. As my eyes were closed, my other senses were heightened, I could feel the slight pull of my hair, the spray that settle on my scalp and the twisting, turning of my hair.
After waiting for what felt like years, Marquis finally told me to open my eyes.I slowly flutter my eyes open as I anticipated what hair style Marquis had done for me. I took hold of the nearest mirror and look into my reflection.I widened my eyes. I wiggle my eyebrows. I lick my lips. All of this were reflected into the image in mirror. "OMG." I gasped. "That is me?" Disbelief shown on my face.
Marquis seemed to be making a face and said, "Yes, Signorina." I hadn't overcome my initial shock and started pinching my arm as I stated into the mirror, 'This is reality.' I whispered to myself.I could have thrown myself into Marquis arms if he wasn't a robot. "I turned around and faced Marquis, "Wow. This hair style is a professions work." I smiled. "You've done well Marquis" I praised.
Marquis gave what looked like a smile and said, "Signorina, there's some face powder, lipstick and many other makeup accessories on the table to your left. Please feel free to use them." I was about to thank him when he spoke again, "and you have ten more minutes to spare. Please make it quick, Signorina."As he went 'off', his last word rang in my mind. 'Signorina.' "He had called me Signorina," I said outloud to myself.
I marvel at how he changed from calling me Tessa to Signorina. I kind of liked the title. Shaking my head and focusing on the task around hand, I began to work my way to the cosmetic table. I looked carefully at all the items there. I decide on a peach flavored lipstick and no powder for my pale skin because the natural skin colour already gave me an ethereal feel. Satisfied, I began to walk to the door.
My heart was pounding furiously as I anticipated Kaeith's reaction. I mentally calmed my nerves and pressed the door button.

'Wow. I managed to control myself.' I thought. 'After all the time I spent with her, I thought that I might lose my sanity.' "She is just so irresistible." I muttered. Okay, the technoball first. I went through my walk-in closet and got out the best suit that I owned and loved.
In a matter of minutes, I was done dressing. Well, a guy doesnt need much time to dress up. Excluding the styling of hair of course. And I will leave that to Marquis to help me. Since, Tessa have yet to appear, I opened up my Fetolia and took a look at matters that required my concern while I chose a seat in my room and settled down.
{Headlines}
Galaxy Planet 1G7— threat of merging with another existing planet.
I scanned the article. A word in particular jumped out at me, "parasites". Apparently Galaxy Planet 1G7 has been classified as a parasite that will combine all the other galaxies together. "That doesn't sound like a bad idea," I thought. " It is a chance to learn the cultures of other galaxies." As I read further, the horror began to dawn on me.
{As the galaxies began to merge with each other, some of the indigenous people were lost in time. Be it in the past or the future. They are considered a lost cause for if they held no identity to proof themselves harmless. They would be forsaken.}
I shivered at the thought of my sweet Tessa, being abandoned and alone on Planet Kelta. How scared and lost she would have felt and now even more since she lost two of her closest friends to the crack of time. I felt my heart go out for her at that moment.
"Signore"
I was startled out of my thoughts. I looked around and found Marquis by my side. I frowned, wondering what is Marquis doing here when he was supposed to help Tessa. Before I could speak, Marquis said, "I am done with Tessa's hair, please allow me to work on yours, Signore." I shrugged my shoulders and Marquis took that as a yes. Marquis worked fast.
Within minutes he was done. He gave me a mirror and I was satisfied with the hairstyle. He had gel my hair back and gave me a confident business man look.As the mirror was taken away, it was replaced by a sight that took my breath away.
There stood Tessa in all her glory, the gown had given her credit for her pure beauty. I was speechless and caught off guard. 'How could I not have heard the door opened?' I thought as I continue to stare at her. She stood there shyly as though she is waiting for me to say something. But I was so speechless at her stunning sight that I couldn't get a word pass my mouth.
She stood there awkwardly, not knowing what to say. Minutes passed and I finally shook out of my trance. "Tessa," I said, practically breathing out her name. She smiled, thankful for the break of silence and tilted her head curiously, "Kaeith."
Her sweet melodic voice too sounded breathless.When I didn't make any motion to say more, Tessa offered. "You look very charming.." That had sounded like a question. I must have made a weird face because she hurriedly added,"I mean you are very dashing."
I didn't take any offence at her first sentence so I just gave her an assuring smile and said,"And you are very beautiful." She gave a relieved smile and surprised me by saying, "We will be the best couple there." I raised one of my eyebrows as I look at Tessa. She turned cherry red.
"Did I just say that outloud again?" She asked quietly. I gave her a teasing smile and she blushed even further. To dispel the awkward situation, she put herself into, I quickly said , "Let's go to the ball." I held out my arm for her. She took it and we walked towards the door. I spoke a few commands, the door responded with a tingle and the destination was set.
"Ready?" I turned to Tessa. She gave a faint smile, "Ready", the one simple word she said was filled with confidence. I place my hand on the scanner, the door gave a 'beep' and it opened. Both of us took a deep breath, her hand in my arm, and we stepped out of the door.
