Phone Call

Adriens POV

I sighed, at the last minute my photo shoot was canceled and Nino is busy with family so I am super bored. I may not enjoy all the photo shoots but at least they gave me something to do. I guess I'll just go to the park, it is actually a very pretty day considering it's the middle of winter. I look to the benches and saw a familiar head of black hair. I got closer before I was going to call out to her but before I could I notice her head was down and her shoulders were shaking as if she was crying . "Marionette?" I call out softly. She looked up at me with her big eyes tainted red from crying, with fresh tears rolling down her face. "Marionette? What's wrong?" I ask, who did this to her. She turned away quickly wiping the tears away with her sleeve. "Adrien please go away, I don't want yo-anyone to see me like this" She was breaking my heart. "Marionette, please. We may not know each other well but I really hate seeing you crying." She let out a sad little sigh "If you think someone hurt me then you are wrong, I did this to myself. I just am so frustrated with myself." My eyes widen in shock, she has never said a coherent sentence to me before. "Why are you frustrated?" I ask, I am a hero after all I can't just leave a damsel in distress. "As stupid as it may seem I want to tell this boy that I like him but I don't know how, I can't talk in front of him and I have tried giving him a note but I forgot to sign it when I had the courage to send it and I just don't know what to do any more" Marionette  started to cry again. I bring her into a hug letting her cry into my shoulder. "Marionette, your feelings are not stupid, it is courageous that you want to tell him that you like him. You tried a note and that didn't work, you have some trouble talking in front of him so why not call him? He won't be looking at you and he will know who is calling him, all you have to do is build up the nerve to dial his number." I am so bad at advice maybe this will cheer her up at the least. She started to pull away from me "You know what I will call him, I will call him right now in fact you have inspired me Adrien, thank you." She wiped away a stray tear and smiled at me. She is so cute, DID I REALLY JUST THINKING THAT! I can feel my face heating up. "Anytime Marionette, I think I'll take my leave so you can have your call in private, but remember if you need help I am just a call away." She nodded and with that I begin to walk away. God she is super cute and she has such a pretty smile. Ring ring ring ring, huh that's my phone. Probably just Natalie telling me when my photo shoot has been reschedule. "Hello?" I answer not thinking to check the ID. "Um h-hey Adrien, it's me, Marionette." Why is Marionette calling me? "I thought you were going to call your crush?" The line stayed silent. Marionette told me she was going to call her crush, she called me- oh.
