----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Asame POV
(In the hallways)Everyone in this school knows the name of Asame Oshiro. I'm not the perfect role model student in the class nor am I a super talkative person, but everyone knows me or at least my name. I'm known as the girl who's always there when you need it the most. I don't help others to be popular, but because it fulfills my sense of justice by helping others.
"Asame~ can you please help me carry these books to the teacher's lounge?" Miho-sensei cries as she stumbles over to me. I watch her struggle to carry the textbooks in her hands and offer my hand out to help her.
"Of course!" I happily answer and take some of the books off her hands.
"Thanks Asame! You're such a great student, if only more of my students could be like you," She exaggerates and I shake my head in denial.
"No. I'm not all that great," I reply back from such a high praise.
"Asame! Can you please help us with this math problem?" Some of my classmates call me over.
"I can't I have to help Miho-sensei," I bow my head in apology and feel a sudden dark aura behind me. I jerk back in surprise to see that it's coming from Miho-sensei.
"Aren't you suppose to be doing my reading assignments?" Miho-sensei asks in a scary tone and all of the students flinch.
"Y-yes!" They shout and take their books out to start reading.
"Let's go Asame," Miho-sensei merrily says and walks with the books in her hands.
... I don't want to mess with her, I quietly sigh as I walk along with her.
This kind of moment tends to happen when someone needs help, but I'm already helping someone else. I'm always willing to be there for others and be a assistance to them, whenever they call out Asame. I'm happy when others are happy and I'm completely fine putting myself second, because there are people who need help and I can't turn away from them.
That's what I always thought... Until now.
(In the teacher lounge)
"No." I bluntly answer to Miho-sensei who's in complete shock.
"What! Asame why? I thought you would love to help out cleaning the pool for the swimming club," Miho sensei says. "You said yourself you're always willing to put yourself out there to help others," she mimics me and I frown.
I'm fine with the cleaning up... But when she says pool and swimming... It makes the whole entire situation change.
"I love helping others, you know that and I'm pretty sure everyone does... Except it can't be a pool. I would clean a field or a classroom or something else that's not a pool," I awkwardly tell her avoiding full eye contact.
"Why Asame? Why???" Miho-sensei clings onto to me and all the teachers start staring at us.
What is she doing!? Where's her pride as a teacher???
