It was the morning after my rejection and boy did I feel like shit. I had spent most of the nigh crying and having major anxiety on what would happen today at school. Would Dylan tell everyone that I had a bizarre and creepy crush on him or would he just give me pity eyes for the rest of our high school careers. Maybe we would end up being friends after all.

I walked into the school and made a beeline to my locker. Usually Dylan and I would walk around the school together and occasionally skip first period to get McDonald breakfast. My locker was only five doors down from Dylan's so I knew one way or another I would have to face him. Thankfully I looked bomb AF today so he could see what he was missing out on.

After doing my locker combination and putting my backpack into my locker. I finally looked up. There he was exactly five doors down, we locked eyes. Dylan looked handsome as always, wearing a plaid flannel shirt and jeans. He looked like he was debating doing something, before he closed his own locker and started walking over to me. I pretended not to notice and stared at a picture of us on my locker. The picture was from the fair, it was one of those pictures where you were on the ride going down. I looked extremely terrified, while Dylan looked calm and collected as always, making a funny face.

Dylan cleared his throat,"Y/N Hi, um I just wanted to know if we were still friends or if you didn't want to be or I don't know?" Finally I looked up and stared at him a smile came across my face.

"Sure I would still like to be your friend." I said quietly.

"Can we hug? Or is it too weird because of you know..........?" He asked. I didn't even answer him, but gave him a light hug instead. It took a few moments for him to relax, but he sunk into the hug ad we stayed there for a few seconds. I proudly was the first one to pull away.

"It is fine Dylan, I will get over it. It was just a silly crush anyways." I said the biggest lie of my life. Obviously he believed it as he just smiled and gave me a fist bump.

"How about we skip first period and go to Starbucks?"

"Sounds great."

Our friendship remained the same as it always did, except you noticed he would act different when it came to anything the slightest bit romantic, like he was afraid that you would think that he liked you.

**One Year Later**

You still had a small crush on Dylan, but for the most part it went away. Your heart only fluttered rarely when he was around. For some odd reason you noticed that Dylan had changed. He started acting more strange around you. It was after you had just dated a guy for a month or two that that you noticed he started acing strange. When Dylan asked you why you broke up with him, you simply stated that he was boring and not that you would never have the same feelings for that guy as that him. Dylan seemed almost jealous. He started wanting to hang out more with you after you broke up and was nicer to you than ever before. Dylan would hug you a lot more often and buy you smoothies and dare you say flirted with you. The crush you had on Dylan was becoming like it was last year. You finally wanted to say something about it, so when he invited you to come over to his house to study, you took the chance.

You were helping Dylan out with a poetry assignment, you had a passion for English, while Dylan on the other hand couldn't care less. You had been sitting on his bed in his room for a whole hour trying to come up with any idea, topic or at least a rhyme.

"Come on Dylan there has to be something we can do. Don't you like baseball? Write a poem about that.

"I like baseball, I play with a guy named Paul. He was very tall and we went to the mall." Dylan said sarcastically.

"I'm being serious. Think of something you are passionate about." You were so over this by now.

Dylan looked over at you for a second to long and you heart started fluttering again.

"How about a Haiku to start?" I pleaded.

"Fine, but I am getting us some soda first to refresh me."

You were looking through his binder, trying to find something that could help Dylan, When you came across a folded piece of paper. You opened it up and found one of the sweetest things in your life.

Y/N(A Haiku)

She is so pretty Her laugh is so amazing I think I'm in love

You had read this poem a number of times, making sure that it was your name on the top of that poem. Wasn't this ironic, around a year ago, Dylan had been reading your dream journal confessing that you loved him at your house, while you went to the bathroom. Now your in his house, reading his confession, while he is getting drinks.

Dylan came back into the room, with two sodas in his hand. He froze when he saw you reading the poem. Immediately he grabbed the poem out of your hand. Dylan's face matched the red t-shirt he was wearing today.

You smirked, "Well, Well, hasn't the tables turn now Dylan?" By the look on his face he knew what you were talking about.

"It-okay I like you, now you know. Are you going to reject me like I did to you last year."

"How gullible are you Dylan? How would someone stop loving their best friend overnight, only to never have feelings for them again?"

"Are you saying you love me back?"

"Of course."

Dylan did not hesitate. He kissed you hard. This was the moment you have been literally been waiting years for. It was better than any dream you had ever had.

"Will you be my girlfriend"

"Yes" You said excitedly.

And then you guys made out a lot.
