You were now known as Dylan's girlfriend. Gossip spread fast in your school and this was apparently juicy gossip. Your best friend was shocked, but she said she could see it happen as "the sexual tension between you too was thick enough to cut with a streak knife." Lots of girls were jealous of you, Dylan was the most desired boy in your whole school. With his charm and gorgeous eyes, you could understand why girls liked him. Because so many girls liked him, you knew they were going to cause conflict.
"Hey babe." Dylan said, giving you a hug and a quick peck on the cheek. You had seen Dylan and his previous girls literally swallowing each other from making out so hard, but Dylan respected that you weren't into PDA that much.
"Hi, excited to get our marks back from our project?" You asked him, returning the hug. Dylan nodded and laughed. It hadn't been your best work but you were a little distracted. It was hard to really think of deep thoughts when Dylan was kissing your neck. You both walked into English class early, holding hands. Your English teacher had a big smirk on his face, proud that he got you two together. You both sat down beside each other, bringing the fuckboys and your friends together.
It was lunch and your friends and Dylan's friends had started sitting together. You and Dylan were sitting beside each other and he was whispering an inside joke to you.
"Okay love birds, knock it off some of us want to eat here." Your best friend said. Dylan's best friend proclaimed that he agreed. They had been getting cozy lately, along with a few of your other friends with Dylan's.
"I'm going to go get some dessert!" You said grabbing your purse. Dylan stayed talking to his friend Tyler about the Mets game.
You stood in line in the inside canteen and couldn't see anyone at your table outside. You ordered yourself a slice of red velvet pie and a slice of banana cream pie for Dylan, remembering that he said it was his favourite once. You gave the lunch lady the money and when you turned the corner you saw a girl, specifically his ex girlfriend pressed up against Dylan kissing him. Dylan looked pretty into it.
"Dylan?" You croaked. He immediately pushed the girl away.
"This isn't what it looks like, she came up to me and when she heard footsteps she tied to kiss me."
"Really?" You said full of rage. "Didn't look like she forced you to do anything."
"I swear babe, I came inside so I could stand in line with you and she ambushed me, please baby I swear."
"Here enjoy your pie!" You said trying to burst into tears. You shoved the pie into his face and ran off holding your own slice of cake. You ran into the girls washroom, and started to cry not even bothering to care about the few snobby girls applying their makeup.
You texted your best friend.
You: come to the bathroom asap
Y/BF Name: on my way. That's what you loved about your best friend. You heard the bathroom door open.
"Y/n are you in here."
"Yeah." You said, grateful to hear your friends voice.
"What happened? Why is Dylan covered in whipped cream? He looks absolutely devastated."
"I-I caught him kissing another girl."
"Are you sure that it was on purpose? He seems to be in love with you."
"Yeah I'm sure." You said while crying. Your best friend had gotten you cleaned up and was now comforting you in her car. "Why would he do this to me? Am I not good enough?"
"He's a jerk and he's gross. He never deserved you." Your best friend said soothingly, rubbing your back. Even if your best friend didn't believe that, she would say anything to make you feel better. It was almost an hour and a half since the incident and lunch was long over.
After school ended you went home and took a nap in your room. Dylan had tried calling and even texted you a bunch of times. Most of his text said things like, 'please hear me out' or 'it wasn't my fault please baby!' A part of you wanted to give in and let him explain himself, but a stubborn part of you didn't want to.
It was lunch. You hadn't seen Dylan all day. He even skipped your English class. You were sitting with your group of friends outside in the schools courtyard. Your best friend seemed a little too giddy today. Something was up with her.
"You alright there, Ms.Cheerful." You asked, she just nodded. I guess just because you were having a bad day, didn't mean everyone else was too, you reminded yourself. Conversation at your table was normal as usual, mostly gossip and everyone sharing how their day was so far.
All of a sudden, you heard a guitar playing. It was Dylan's best friend playing Bruno Mars' Count on Me. Dylan was wearing a tuxedo and was heading to your table. Instantly your face turned red. Don't give in the voice in your head thought. But he looks so hot, another voice said.
When Dylan got to your table holding a red rose, he handed it to you and started singing the chorus.
"You can count on me like one, two, three I'll be there and I know when I need to I can count on you like four, three, two, you'll be there. Cause that's what fiends are supposed to do oh yeah. Dylan sang. He was not the best singer by far. But he was still perfect to you. When he was done the song, everyone started clapping. He ended it by saying, "Y/n do you forgive me?"
"Yes!" You said and hugged him, giving he a kiss on the lips. You felt Dylan smile as he kissed you.
"I'm sorry." He whispered in your ear. You gave him a hug in return, showing Dylan you forgave him completely.
You ran to your best friend and asked her, "Did you know about this."
She gave you a wink and said, "I told you he loved you."
