"Hey Cinder check this out," said Iko holding out a small well-worn book.
To keep themselves busy, Cinder and Iko were exploring the castle's living quarters.
"What is it?" asked Cinder.
"I dunno. Why do you think I told you to look at it?"
Cinder opened the book and read the first page aloud:
"'September first, ninety-four T.E., Dear diary, I don't know why tutor Eeva is making me write a diary. She says that it will help me collect my thoughts about my new baby sister. I said that my thoughts are just fine right where they are. I told Mother about it and she said to just do what Eeva says. at least with Eeva making me do this assignment I don't have to do all of those stupid writing activities. Very insincerely, Channary.'"
"Is that your mother's diary?" asked Iko.
"Yes, it would seem so."
