I sit up fast. Too fast. I fall back down and accidentally wake up Jason.
"What's wrong? What happened? Is-" he asks.
"Everything's fine, I'm sorry, I just, I..."
He wraps me up with the blanket and plants a kiss on my lips.
"Everything's going to be okay. I promise. I won't let anything happen to you." He promises.
"What about you?" I ask.
"You matter more. Your more important." He says.
He wraps me up in his arms and I lean into him. Then my tears come. I close my eyes. And I fall asleep while he rocks me to sleep.

"Rise and shine, beautiful" Jason says as he strokes my cheek.
"Yes, because 'beautiful' didn't brush her teeth or brush her hair this morning." I reply.
He laughs,"I'll work on that."
"Where's Audrey?" I ask.
"Taking a shower." He says.
"How...???" I ask confused.
"We're in a hotel, Ev, I'm pretty sure it's considered rude and illegal to not give someone a shower to shower in."
"True." I reply.
"Common, I'll show you our room." He says swooping me up off my feet.
"Wait, our room?" I ask, giggling.
"Yes, unless you want your own room..." He says.
"No! No! I just...well..." I say.
"Ok. I see how it is. I'll give you a rough ride up then..."
"Aaaaaaahhh!!! No, Jason, no!!" I scream.
"Shhhh, don't want to wake the future baby!" He teases.
"Oh my gosh! You!" I punch him.
We ride up the stairs. There are tons of people here, just in the hallways. I guess all the rooms are booked. I'm surprised Jason was able to gets us a room.
"Our room is connected to Audrey's. You'll be able to visit her. Take a shower, brush your hair and teeth. I'll make sure you have clothes." He sets me down. "I'll be getting food. I'll come back to check on you."
"Okay. How were you able to get all this stuff?" I ask. I'm really curious. Normally hotels don't have this stuff in the rooms.
"The front desk. Once you and Audrey, well, kind of blacked out, I made sure we had rooms in the morning and a bunch of other stuff. You have no idea how much stuff the front desk and the hotel stores have. Oh, and I got you a bunch of womanly stuff too." He looks embarrassed saying this.
I kiss him. "Thank you so much."
"Okay. You go take a shower. I'll wait out here for you with clothes." He says.
I walk into the bathroom. Jeez, it's marble all the way. Jason must have gotten a suite. He must be doing this because he knows that my mom and Ellie are gone. Doing something does help me not think about them.
Honestly, more then half of my shower is me just pondering my thoughts and the other half is me actually taking a shower. Once I'm finished, I dry off, wrap the towel around me and walk out of the bathroom, only to find Jason there with fresh clothes like he promised.
"Here ya go." He says looking me over and smiling.
"Stop smiling or I will slap it off myself!" I say laughing.
As I walk into the bathroom I can hear Jason laughing behind me.
***
"So he was checking you out?" Audrey says, laughing.
"Yes! I swear he was fighting the urge to rip that towel off of me!" I laugh.
"You're right. I was." Jason says walking into the room.
"Come here, you!" I say.
We kiss, and it feels natural now. All my worries go away now that we're connected in some way.
"Um, guys, you may want to get a room, or ya know what, I'll just leave." Audrey says walking into her room.
Me and Jason both laugh. We're together alone. Imagine what could happen. We run into the bedroom together. It's already nighttime so we pile into the bed together.

I wake up refreshed and smiling of what happened last night. Jason's taking a shower right now, I know because I here the water running. I decide to get ready. I go into the closet which is full of clothes. I guess Jason has been busy. I pick out some simple clothes and go into the bathroom. I guess it will be kind of natural for him and I to see each other, well, naked now. I brush my hair and teeth and go to stand out on the deck. I see guards coming for the hotel. A man rushes out, probably the front desk man and asks what they need. I can barely make out what they're saying.
"We're looking for Evelyn Benton. She needs to come with us."
