A/N:
Omg!!!!!! I'm so sorry for not updating!!!! Both of my cousins have gotten onto me about it and I already feel soooo bad!!! I had a huge volleyball tournament (three days!!!) and I did not have anytime to update. But....I WON! We got into the championships and won! So yayyyy!!! Anyway, I'll make sure this chapter is long so that you (might!) forgive me. Thanks!

I wake up the next morning with a new goal. Get out of this....this....place and take everyone to safety. Even if it means I have to stay behind.
Jason and Audrey eventually wake up. They each look at me like I might run out the door and get myself killed trying to get to Ellie and my mom. I told Audrey about my mom and Ellie last night, and she was about as surprised as me; as she had known them since she was little.
"Well, we need to make a plan." Jason says, finally someone speaking up during the awkward silence.
"I agree, but it needs to be something unexpected. They're going to suspect we go for them last, so how about we get them first?" I suggest. "We already have guns; they're hidden in the closet; so we can just use those instead of finding the weapons lab."
"I say we go for it. But how will we get out of the room? There are guards have guns locked and loaded and are monitoring this place 24/7." Jason says, thinking out loud.
"Easy." I say. "I use my strength 'power'" I say, putting quotations in the air.
"Great. Let's get out of here." He says, pulling the guns out of the closet.
***
We don't do this for twenty more minutes and I already am doubting our plan. Jason had snuck into the office during lunch, saying he needed to use the restroom, and found which room and directions to my family. He also had found out that we're right outside the wall. Literally. It's right here.
I had made sure President Odair didn't suspect anything, which I'm not sure how to do, so I just looked like I was kind of happy here. Audrey was able to change the soldier schedules around, so now they'll all be guarding one half of the building. Unfortunately, we're still stuck with a few guards out of our room.
We each have taken a shower, and put on bullet-proof vests. We actually found those in the closet! We have black clothes on and tried our best to look like security guards. Finally, we're all ready.
"It's all you." Audrey says, stepping behind me.
"Now remember," Jason reminds me,"don't hit the doorknob or sides of the door. Those will set off alarms and send this whole place into chaos. Hit the door square in the middle and then tear it all the way down and up so we can step through. I'll be there to shoot the guards right behind you." He kisses me softly. "You can do it, okay?" He twists his arms around my waist and kisses my neck.
"Ummm...guys....lives are at stake here and you're just there making out...sooooo..." Audrey says, looking at us weirdly.
I feel Jason's breath as he laughs against me. He kisses me one last time and leaves me to do my thing. Here goes nothing...
***
I lunge at the door with hatred for Odair. I think of when he talked about my family. He had no right to do those things. I feel the metal against my skin, but that's it. No pain. The only thing I see is the door breaking, tearing, whatever it's doing. I tear a doorway through and run out. Already guards are coming. I throw each of them against a wall in the direction they are coming from. I hear Jason coming out and shooting at the guards. Soon, all of them are dead. I almost feel bad.
Jason picks up a walkie-talkie. "Sector one is all clear. Just a little mishap with patients x, y, and z. They are safe in their room now. Over and out." Soon we hear a voice come over. "Thank you soldier Clem."
We get on the move. Jason leads us down, up, and down again hallways until we get to the hallway where I suppose my mom and sister are. Jason runs down and shoots the lock on a door. I reach and pause over the handle. Here goes nothing.
***
I see my mom and Ellie, each holding each other. I guess shooting the lock would be a little scary. They let go of each other and stare in amazement at us. Finally my mom has the courage to speak.
"Evelyn?" She squeaks out, hand over her mouth.
"It's me mom. We're getting out of here." I'm barely able to hold it in myself. Tears start streaming down my face and I run and hug them both. "I thought you were dead!" I cry. I hug Ellie and stroke her back. "We need to go." I say getting up.
We equip my mom with a gun, and Jason shows her how to use it while I give Ellie more hugs.
"We're ready." Jason says, standing next to my mom.
"Let's go." We run out of the room, guns at the ready. It's eerily quiet. I guess Audrey did a good job giving the guards other rounds. We find the nearest exit and each get our guns ready. We run out and head towards The Fence. Then we see the guards. There must be at least a hundred of them. They all have loaded guns and have started shooting at us.
"Climb!!" Jason shouts.
We each start climbing a different section. Bullets fly past us as we climb. The Fence is really high; probably 10 to 15 feet up. I see a bullet coming for Ellie. I pull her on top of me and the bullet misses her by inches.
We eventually get to the top and, surprisingly, no one got hurt. The barbed wire is sharp, and may be rusty, but we have no choice. I put Ellie on my back and climb over the wall. I receive multiple cuts, some pretty large, but this can't stop me. This time, we climb double the time we did. Jason is next to me on my right, then my mom, and then Audrey on my left. They each look worried, but Jason looks the most worried. Then blood sprays everywhere.
Jason falls to the ground. Luckily, we're less than 8 feet from the ground, but that's the only good thing. I jump down. Screaming Jason's name. Please.....please.....no.... I get to the ground and let go of Ellie. I stumble to Jason, losing my balance, and crash to the ground. I puddle of blood is around him and I listen to hear his heart. Tiny beats. Yes. Please. My mom and Audrey run up. I feel dizzy. I can't think. Or move. Please. I can't. No. Just as I black out, I see a huge bomb the looks exactly like the one on The Fourth Of July.
