\\ Luke's POV //

Today was Gabby's funeral. I wasn't looking forward to it, but wanted to pay my respect to the love of my life. When I was done putting my tux on, I grabbed a rose from the counter and left my house. I walked to the cemetery and saw everyone there. I stopped to say hello to her family and hugged them all. Some of Gabby's friends were here too; some I never meet before. After a couple minutes, I saw Calum, Ashton, and Michael walking over here. They came up to me and hugged me and patted my back. I turned around to see the casket with Gabby inside. Seeing her lifeless body tears my heart out. I only saw her feet since so many people were crowded around her. I decided to visit her in a minute, just to be alone while I pay my respects.
"Excuse me sir, is this...Gabby Hills funeral." A lady asked me. I turned around was was faced by a woman standing next to a man.
"Yes...I hope you don't mind me asking, but who are you?" I asked politely. The woman wiped her tear away with a tissue and looked me in the eye.
"We are Gabby's biological parents." She answered. My eyes got big and she smiled at me.
"I hope we don't mind asking you, but who are you?" Her father asked.
"Oh...I'm Luke Hemmings and uh, I was Gabby's boyfriend." I said. They both smiled at me and I smiled back.
"Uh, Gabby wanted me to tell you both that your little girl turned out to become a ballerina and she sold out shows on brad way...she really wanted to meet you both." I said with a tear falling down my face. Her mother sobbed a little while her father rubbed her shoulder.
"Thank you Luke. Your a good young man." Her father said to me. I nodded my head and the ceremony began. I stood to the side when the preacher said some things about Gabby like how she was determined to finished what she started and stuff like that. I looked down at my shoes and closed my eyes, thinking about Gabby and how strong her passion for ballet was and if she was looking down on us right now.
"And now, we will hear a few words from Gabby's boyfriend, Luke Hemmings." The preacher announced. I gulped nervously and stood behind the podium. I cleared my throat and pulled out the notes from my pocket.
"Hello everyone, I'm uh, Luke Hemmings and I was Gabby's boyfriend. Uh what can I say about Gabby...she was an amazing young woman." I started with. As I scanned the faces, I noticed Misty Copeland sitting in the third row with her mom. I smiled at her and she smiled back.
"Gabby was good at everything she did. She could skate board and do ballet, she could read an entire book in an hour if she wanted." I laughed a little, remembering the day I was at her window seeing her read,'The Fault In Our Stars.' I also remembered just staying there; admiring her beautiful face as she read. I snapped out of my trance and began talking again.
"Gabby was truly beautiful; inside and out. She had a good heart, always wanting to take care of me and her family at the orphanage. I remember the first time I saw her in 8th grade. She walked up to me and asked if I wanted to play volley ball with her friends and obviously said yes because she was so breathtaking. I'll always remember that day, but one thing I'll always remember is her passion for ballet. She was so amazing at it. I remember walking in on her doing an amazing spin and she was so proud of herself when she landed it correctly. She uh, she would also text me saying that she would like to marry me someday and I would text back saying that I would love to marry her." I stopped a minute, trying to keep back the tears. I clear my throat and tried to keep reading off my cards.
"Gabby danced right into my heart and danced right out of it. Just like that. Last night I was thinking,'Why would God take away my beautiful princess,' but realized that God wanted her to be in a better place. I hope that Gabby keeps dancing for eternity; wherever she is now. I love you gabby and I won't ever stop loving you. Keep dancing princess." I finished up and sat back down in my chair and balled my eyes out. The preacher finished saying some things and it was time to lower the body. Before they closed the casket, the preacher asked if anyone would like to pay their respects one last time. I raised my hand and walked to Gabby. She looked so lifeless, but beautiful as ever. I leaned down and hugged her. I pecked her cheek and whispered,"I love you, Gabby." I didn't know what would happen next. If she would come to life and tell me that she loved me too, or just stay dead on her death bed. I backed away from the casket as they closed it. For the rest of the funeral the preacher said more stuff and they lowered her into the ground. I threw in my red rose and before I knew it, the funeral was over. I walked to the pond alone and started to think about Gabby and our conversations. How I was the last person she talked to. How she loved me and how I loved her. How she could have been a professional ballerina. How much I was going to miss her.
~
After a couple hours at the pond I started walking to my house. No, I don't know where Gabby is and I probably won't know for a while, but that's ok. I know wherever she is she's dancing her heart away and becoming a professional ballerina. No matter what happens in life I will alway love you, Gabby.
