Stone (a younow fanfic)

Part 1

Violet's POV:

I squished back into the wall under the desk. Oh god. Oh my god no.

I was breathing heavily, I had been infected. I had been infected with the stone virus.

I looked to the other side of the office to see my twin sister Fuchsia, turn completely into stone. I put my head back against the wall and felt the tips of my fingers start to turn hard. I couldn't move them. Oh god. I only had a few more moments to live.

The virus had been started by strange creatures that had invaded the states a few months ago. They had made their way to North Carolina and my twin and I made it out while we could. We made it into town before being attacked by two of them. Now we were about to die.

My once light brown caramel hair turned dark grey. I started to panic. I couldn't die. Not like this, but what could I do now? The country was mostly destroyed and our town was in ruins.

One of them walked by the doorway and grinned evilly at me. I kept breathing deeply. He walked into the room and came over to me. He grabbed me and had me stand. Then he looked me over and starred deep into my eyes.

My hair suddenly turned back to it's caramel color again and my stone fingers turned into flesh. I looked at the boy and he looked back at me. He looked older than me. By at least 3 or 4 years.

He grabbed my wrist and tried to drag me out of of the room, but I couldn't leave Fuchsia. I couldn't leave my twin.

"Come on," he commanded.

"No, I can't leave my sister," I said looking back at her.

"It's to late...she's gone." I couldn't believe what I had heard. My twin sister, gone forever.

I let him drag me down a hallway and into a small doctors office like room. He sat me down on a table and went shuffling through some drawers. He turned back towards me with a loaded vaccine. I cautiously looked at him.

"Try not to feel," he said as he put the needle into my wrist.

Suddenly pain shot through my wrist as my pulse quickened and I saw bright flashing lights. It went away and I felt dizzy. He had me get up and walk around the small space.

I felt better but still a little dizzy. He took me out of the room and out side. There I saw the most horrible sight. Ruin, buildings on fire, stone people stuck in horrific poses. I starred at it as he stood behind me. Then all to soon, I blacked out.
