Violet's POV:
I woke up to someone pounding on the door.
"Wake up guys, training starts today. You'll find some clothes in your dresser," I heard Bryce say.
I got up and yawned. I looked over to see Weston still laying there.
"Get up!" I yelled smacking him with a pillow. He sat straight up and looked at me with the "really?" look.
I giggled getting up and going to the dresser, throwing Weston's clothes at his head.
"Look away please," I asked. I got dressed into black pants, a black short sleeved shirt, black combat boots, and a black jacket. I turned away as he changed into the same thing.
"We look like what they wore into the hunger games," I commented.
"Yeah, but you need to put your hair into a braid," Weston pointed out.
I looked around and then found a hair tie, braiding my hair and putting it to the side.
"Better?" I asked.
"Better."
Bryce opened the door and we followed him down the hall into the training room he showed us yesterday. We walked in and first sat down at a table.
"First you'll learn how to read minds. This skill can either happen, or not happen. Meaning you learn it easily, but you can't always do it. We don't know why, it just doesn't work sometimes." We both nodded.
"I'm going to first think of an animal. On the count of three, say what animal comes to your mind." I looked him in the eye. Jaguar.
"Got it?" We both nodded.
"Good. One, two, three."
"Jaguar!" Weston and I both said at the same time. We looked at each other.
"See? I told you. Easy to learn."
~2 hours later~
We learned how use our 3 powers. Mind reading, healing, and analyzing ones purpose. It was a lot more simple than I thought it'd be.
After that we were told we could spend the rest of the day in the city. We walked out into the city, or what once was the city.
"It doesn't look like the town I used to live in," Weston whispered.
"I know. Just wait. It feels strange roaming the streets you would once ride in a car down," I told him.
We walked around for a little bit. I took glances at Weston. I'm pretty sure I looked the same way yesterday. I kept walking when I noticed he wasn't following me. I turned around to see him slowly walk into a building.
Sighing, I jogged back towards him and went in the building, searching for him. I recognized this place. I don't know how, but it seems familiar. I shook it off and continued looking for Weston.
I called his name a couple of times before finding him in a room crouched by a stone person. I walked closer seeing it was a girl who looked to be a little older than him.
"That's-"
"Kalynn. My sister," he interrupted.
I gasped. That's how this place was familiar! It's where Corbyn found me!
I ran out of the room down the hall peeking into rooms until I found her. Fuchsia. Still in the same position I last saw her. I ran over to her and collapsed against her. Sobbing.
"I'm so sorry Fuchsia! It's all my fault! I tried to keep you safe but I failed! I'm so sorry!" I an arm wrapped around me comforting me.
"It's ok. She's safe now. They would have left her anyways, they left Kalynn while she was still alive."
That didn't help. I looked up at Fuchsia. My reflection. I stroked her cheek, feeling her presence.
I looked up at Weston and he starred back at me. Before he could react I attacked him with a hug. It felt good that he knew how I felt.
I stood up and walked out, taking a glance at Fuchsia. We walked down the hallway, out of the building. We kept walking through the rubble until I noticed that Weston wasn't with me.
I looked around, but couldn't see him. I looked in a few nearby buildings, but didn't find him. Then someone grabbed me from behind, pulling me closer to them.
"Hey!"
"Aw, hey darling," the voice said.
"Wait Jerry?"
"It's Geo," he corrected.
"Oh, can you let me go please Geo?" I asked him.
"I'm afraid I can't darling."
"Why not?"
"Because then you'll run away, and then it'd just take longer to get you back to the treehouse," he told me.
"You want more answers? Well you can just ask me them right now, the place won't affect the answer, I can ensure you that," I said laughing.
"No darling, you're coming back to stay with us. For good."
"Wait what?!" I asked getting a little panicky. He chuckled and took a deep breath in of my hair.
"Please don't," I begged in a weak voice.
He chuckled again and I felt a sharp pain in my shoulder. I took a sharp breath in and slowly it out as I fell limp, going black.
