Part 2

Corbyn's POV:

It was my job to find her. To find someone who could make a difference. I analyzed her and saw she was useful, so I healed her and turned her into one of us.

She took the injection well and I had her walk around to get the first point of the poison to her head. Hm, she must not be traumatized enough, it would only work if so much stress was happening to the person.

I took her outside and that did it, now I could take her back to head quarters, and show her why we did this.

Violets POV:

I woke up with blurry vision, but soon adjusted. I sat up and looked around. I was in a bed in a small room. There was another bed on the opposite side of the room.

I went to the door and tried it, locked. I sat back down on the bed trying to compromise what had happened. But all the factors were impossible to connect.

The door opened and in came a guy who also looked a little older than me.

"Hi, I'm Bryce. May I ask what your name is?" He asked.

"I'm Violet," I said quietly.

"Hello Violet, welcome to SMS," he said welcomingly. I smiled.

"Thank you, might I ask what SMS is?"

"SMS stands for Secret Miners Society,"he told me,"Yes, we are the people who started stone virus, but that was the crazy ones, the people who couldn't hold back. You see, it all started when one person who was being treated tried a new antidote and got stone virus, and the virus is like rabies, you try and get as many people infected as possible. It's addicting. But you can get another antidote that will help you become able to handle the virus and your powers."

I tilted my head and looked at him with confusion.

"Yes, the virus does give you powers. You can heal, read minds at times, and can analyze someone's abilities just by looking at them. You'll eventually learn how to use your abilities, and can help others recover, like Corbyn helped you."

I sat a little confused then remembered the boy. His name must have been Corbyn.

I sat there and nodded, listening to every word he was saying. I looked at him, he seemed finished talking.

He looked like he was trying to make me feel like I could trust him, I was kinda cautious, but other than that, he was the only person I could trust at the moment. Well him and maybe Corbyn.

He left me alone for a few minutes to get up and dressed and all ready. He knocked on the door and I told him come in. He opened the door and took me out into a hallway.

We came to a room and the opened the door. Inside was a group of boys and girls that were huddled around a table. They all looked up and dispersed a little once we came in.

"Everyone, I want you to meet Violet. She's our new recruit," Bryce told them. I smiled at them and gave them a little wave.

"Violet this is Ariel, Kylee, Mario, and then you know Corbyn," he said pointing to each of them. I nodded.

"Loren will be back in a few with a new recruit. How old are you again?"

"14," I told him.

"Good, you two are the exact same age. You'll be doing missions together." I nodded and turned back to the table of people.

They turned back to their work and started chatting quietly. I turned to Bryce and he grinned at me.

He leaned in and whispered,"You can have some you time if you want and go out into the city for a little bit, but be careful, there have been humans that have tried to kill us before."
