Language of the Bird (A Young Justice fan fiction)

Chapter 2

Wally shook his head "No you aren't just leaving us with a cliffhanger like that!" in a flash he sped off coming back seconds later dragging Robin behind him. He threw him down into a chair. "We still have more questions."

Robin sighed and rolled his eyes "Fine what do you want to know?"

Megan frowned "If you're from Romania shouldn't you have an accent?"

Robin smiled "Well when I'm in my civilian form I do let my accent slip a little more. But since up until now known of you knew I wasn't even born in America I make myself talk like other Americans."

Artemis frowned "So you do have an accent you just force yourself to use an American one instead?" he nodded.

Megan looked at him sadly "Robin you don't have to speak differently for us if it is harder for you."

He looked up at her with hope in his eyes "re-really? Y-you mean it?" she smiled and nodded at him. "Thank you." He said dropping the American accent. This made the whole team smile.

Roy came up behind Artemis "So wait if you're from Romania doesn't that make Batman Romanian?"

Robin frowned "Why does me being from Romania make Batman Romanian?" he now spoke with a distinct accent.

"So then only your mother was Romanian?" Kaldur asked.

Robin was confused "No both of my parents were Romanian so were my aunt, uncle, and cousin. We all came to America together."

Connor frowned "But you just said Batman wasn't Romanian!"

Robin frowned to himself till realization finally hit him. He started laughing as the others just gave him puzzled looks. "You do realize Batman is not my father right?"

"He's not?!" they all yelled at ounce.

This just made Robin laugh even more. His laughter sounded different to the team now that he wasn't trying to sound like an American. "Of course he isn't!"

"So he adopted you?" Megan asked.

Robin frowned sadly "No h-he took me on as his ward. So he takes care of me and stuff but he isn't my father. Sometimes though I wish he would fully adopt me but I don't think he's going to." He sadly hug his head and looked down at is shoes.

It broke the team's hearts to see their little brother so sad. Megan suddenly spoke in all their heads. "Team it looks like we have ourselves a new mission" they all smiled and nodded in agreement. Their new mission 'Operation adopt a bird.'

(A/N - why does it always seem like I end up in these situations?! I get on Wattpad and am like 'hey I think I'll write a one-shot cuz you know why not!' so I do but then people want me to continue it! (face palm) this is what I get for adding more stories. (sigh) well I hope you liked this chapter and apparently  this is an ongoing series now. :) which I'm kinda glad. I love writing about Robin. well I hope to update this soon and as I said before this chapter was dedicated to MissJollypopSpades thanks for the awesome idea. and if you liked this story also thank them cuz if not for them this story would have only been a one-shot. :) Stay whelmed and feel the aster!
