Dear M by esthetiques is the first entry of the contest.
This story was so intriguing. The problems each of them had, cutting and abusive parents, really added a fresh look on the break-up type story line. Also, the gazebo gave it a unique element that I really liked.
The only thing that I would add to this story is more contact with others. Not much is needed, but the story could do with some interaction between the main character and her parents and friends, not just the three that were mainly talked about in this story.
