Rosie and Dylan were supposed to be here in 20 minutes when I heard the door bell ring I slowly walked down stairs dragging my feet I opened the door to see Dylan standing there with flowers. "Hey Dylan" I said smiling. He handed me flowers and gave me a huge hug. "come on" we went up stairs and laid down in my empty freshly painted cold dark room. "I'm gonna miss this room" I said rolling my head towards him as he was still looking up.
"I'm gonna miss you" he said as I noticed a tear roll down his soft skin.
"me too" I responded.
"Do you think I'll ever see you again. I mean in all honesty" Dylan asked now turning his head towards me. I took one last good look into his eyes practically getting lost in them.
"Honestly I don't think I'll ever come back. It's to much money and my parents aren't the type to travel" I said sighing. He nodded his head understandably.
"It'll be good for you, you know? A good change that's what you need" he said trying to control his emotions.
"If we're meant to be best friends than I'm sure god will find some crazy way to bring us back together" I smiled in hope.
"I think Rosie is here" he said looking out the window. We both went outside. The moving trucks were lined up and my parents we're just finishing putting the last boxes in the car. I walked over to Rosie leaving Dylan to sit on the porch.
"I'll miss you Rose" I said hugging her tight "I will never forget about you" I smiled
"Here" she said handing me one red rose.
"Thank you" I said grabbing it from her hand.
"Hey Gracie"
"Yeah Rose"
"You're an amazing friend; I'm going to miss you! Thank you for everything you saved me gracie"
"No...we saved each other" I smiled as I walked over to Dylan. "I think you were an angel sent from heaven" I laughed. "You came to me exactly when I need you most, and I'm going to miss you so much" I burst out into tears "You're amazing Dylan your smile your laugh your pink tie" I laughed. "How I'm supposed to survive without you?" I looked down wiping my tears.
"Hey don't cry" he said lifting my chin. "I am not going anywhere ok?" He sniffled trying not cry. "I love you" he said hugging me tight "You're my best friend... my only friend" he said. He took off his pink tie and one of his yellow shoes and handed me them. I froze for a second as he plopped them in my hand
"You love me?" "Of course I do I have ever since I first saw you on the bus"
"I love you to Dylan"
"now take them So you'll never forget about me. Go on take them" he smirked.
"But, what are you going to do with one shoe?" I asked.
"Look I'm already weird to begin with what do I got to lose?" he laughed. As I joined in his laughter. Suddenly I had a flash back of when I was dead and in heaven when I saw Olivia, she told me something. She told me I could tell Dylan about the diary.
"Dylan wait before I go you need to know something. You cant tell anyone. You know that diary you were reading in my room well I talked to Olivia in that diary when she was dead I talked to her." I said happy to get it out.
"I know" he looked down.
"You know? But how?"
"Please Gracie you should of known me well enough by now to realize that I would of looked through the whole thing. At first I thought it was you writing, but then I noticed the difference in hand writing and when you came up to your room and wrote in it after you found out you had to move. I had my suspicions." He said smiling and grabbing my hand.
