When Cassie said there was going to be a bonfire, she wasn't kidding.
The pit was at least 8 feet wide with glowing flames and had benches to complete the enourmous circle of kids around it. I couldn't help from gasping once I stepped out of the main house- this was no ordinary bonfire. Of course, this was no ordinary sweet sixteen, after all- this was all for Cassie McAvery.
It was supposed to be great.
Well, it sure looked great from my viewpoint. As I made my way out of the house and onto the fromt porch, I glanced around me at all the teenagers dancing around the pit, some laughing and most of them drinking the mysterious punch again. I tried to find Cassie, but she was probably surrounded by a giant crowd of over-accesorized girls in some other room. It was no use even looking in a place this size.
Some of the wasted guys I'd seen upstairs earlier already had their shirts off and were prancing around screaming, "POOL PARTY WHOOP WHOOP!" while they bolted for the enourmous pool, complete with disco lights and a super slide. About a minute after they jumped in, the rest of the guys decided that it was an awesome idea and didn't hesitate to follow. Some girls stood by and took pictures while they giggled at their stupidity, since most of them still had clothes on.
This place was a complete circus. there were lights flashing, people talking, and music blaring so loud I was almost shaking. I was kind of lost here, and I noticed that there were only two kinds of people here- the party animals and the clowns... But I didn't really fit in anywhere. I hadn't really prepared for this trip as much as the other girls, who were featuring cocktail dresses, while I stood off to the side in my tshirt and shorts.
Well, then.

From then on, I just acted like I knew what was going on and went to find the first drink I could get my hands on. It didn't take long for me to feel the effects of the punch, but it was a calm, refreshing kind of... what was this... i donnnnttt evennn knoooww... hahaha... my head feeels reallly funny...
Then it all went downhill from there. I waved to people I didn't know, or mabey DID know, I couldn't tell. Mabey I even talked to some of those princess girls and made them laugh. For once, I felt... wanted. That is, until someone picked me up and pushed me into the pool.
I spluttered, flailing my arms as the cold water seeped into my clothes. I heard the girls laughing obnoxiously and I looked up to see one of the guys get highfived with a smug grin on his face. People looked up from whatever they were doing to watch and stare or point.
The boy who pushed me into the water shouted out, "Look guys, she's wasted!"
I was totally embarrassed. I probably was so drunk I did something imcredibly stupid or... Whatever. I just needed to get out of there.
I dragged my sorry ass out of there, opening the main gate and leaving the party behind me. As I shivered and ran into the woods, I asked myself, 'Are you happy now Layla? Are you happy now?'
No.
I most definetley wasn't.
