Why Bother Anymore? {Part 1}

Chapter 11

Hey guys!

It's Justine here.

Sorry I haven't updated in a while.

I got an ipad for Christmas and I went to login on there.

But of course I forgot my password.

So I've been trying to guess that for a long time.

When I get it I'll let you guys know.

So right now I am writing on my other tablet while I figure that out.

I've also been very busy too.

Ughhhhhhhhhhhh...I have school on Monday.

Wait I don't want to think about that right now.

Anyway enjoy the chapter!

P.S. it may be a little short because I want everything situated right now.

Maya P.O.V

I woke up dreading to go to school.

You can guess why.

Finally I got the urge to wake up and get ready for school.

I brushed my teeth and today I straightened my hair and put on some light wash jeans and of course, a grey comfy knit sweater.

I went downstairs to grab a granola bar because I wasn't in the mood for cereal. I grabbed it and went out the door.

I walked into school and when everyone saw me, it was dead silent. Zay then came by my side.

"So I guess you've heard," I ask him.

He then reaches his arm out and stops me.

"How could you ever think about doing that." He responds.

"What are you talking about?" I ask him with a confused face.

"I don't know," he starts saying, "I'm talking about you almost committing suicide and having suicidal thoughts," he says pointing to my wrist.

I stood there silent.

"Why didn't you tell me," he says.

"I haven't told anyone Zay. It was hard to admit it for myself, let alone anyone else knowing." I say starting to get angry.

"I get that but-"

"No you don't," I say interrupting him, "You don't get it because something like that never happened to you. Unfortunately, it has to me and I would appreciate if you didn't say what I was about to do was wrong. I shouldn't of sent that video if I didn't, I would've been dead right now. And believe me. I want to be.

I then walked away to my locker. Opening it, expecting a billion notes to fall out.

None did.

Wait....What!?!?!

That's impossible, that never happened. Everyday, I get at least one not in my locker.

I then walk into history class where I see Missy and Riley talking and Farkle discussing something with Mr. Matthews.

I then feel someone's eyes on me.

I see Lucas looking at me and smiling, but I don't smile back but instead, take my seat.

I was not paying attention in class at all but, the only thing I heard Mr. Matthews say was that the project was due next week.

Oh crap I completely forgot.

I took out a page from notebook and wrote to Lucas that....

Don't worry about the project. I'll take care of it. Probably don't want to be by me from everything that has happened. I don't expect ANYONE to like me after what happened. Not even Zay.

After class, I walked up to him and gave him the note. I then walked away without saying a word to him.

-After School-

I set down my backpack and stuff in my room and sat on my bed. I looked around and still wondered what I'm doing here. While thinking that, I fell asleep on my bed. I woke up with me under the covers. That's weird. But who cares. 30 minutes later, I decided that it was time to work on the project, just when I was about to do that, I heard a knock on my window.

It was a tall boy with dirty blond hair.

Ughhhhhhhhhhhh........ Lucas

I get up from my bed with a sigh and get up to open the window.

I open it and go back to my bed.

Lucas was carrying some papers while closing the window.

"What's that," I ask him pointing to his hand.

Then he just hands me the papers while not saying a word.

I read it over and it sounded a lot like our history assignment.

"What is this I told you I would do it," I say to him.

"I know," he started saying, "with everything going on right now, I didn't want you to deal with anything else. Besides, I'm partly the reason you're in this situation anyway.

I just sat on my bed thinking.

"Wait...." I started to say, "were you here earlier."

"Yeah...Uhhh.....I saw you sleeping at the end of your bed so I moved under the covers so you could be more comfortable. I came because I wanted to show you the assignment but, I decided to come back and here I am." He finished saying.

I was shocked.

"I told you I would deal with it though." I told him.

He smiled at me.

"Don't worry about it....please." He said to me.

I shot him a smile and he smiled back.

"Lucas..." I started saying, "Thank you for taking care of me and the assignment."

"Maya," He started saying, "Stop saying thank you. It was the least I could do.

"Well so while you're here," I said to him, "do you want to stay and watch a movie or something."

"Yeahh.." He said with a smile, "I'd like that a lot."
