Riiiiiiiiing!! The annoying morning bell reminded us to head over to first period just as soon as my cousin and I had arrived.
"Well I'll see you at lunch." Alyssa said and waved simultaneously. I nodded and headed towards AP calculus with the calmest pace I could manage. The weather was nice this morning with the sun hiding itself behind puffy clouds that looked like white, cotton candy. I had absolutely no energy in me at the moment. Usually, as my morning routine, I'd get up early and go for a mile jog which would fully awake me, but I had woken up late today. I don't like coffee so I guess I'll end up sleeping in first period and maybe second too, along with giving my classmates a heart attack. Imagine that. I chuckled at my inner thought, but ceased it once I realized I might look crazy laughing by myself.
You see I was a straight A student at Monroe High and sleeping in class has never been an intention of mine. That was the possible reason for why people knew who I was. I was an honor student, a nerd, a loser. Just kidding I'm not a loser. I would sing the national anthem for home games and car shows that were held in town so maybe that's another reason. I wasn't into sports because every player would take it as a competition when in reality they should be working together as a freakin team. I used to play volleyball, softball, and basketball, but I fell in love with guitar and piano when it was introduced to me in seventh grade. I would literally spend hours teaching myself how to play and before I knew it I had given up on sports; however, music gave me a feeling no coach, sport, or person can bestow. Well let's get these four periods over with.

"You're such a brat." I told my best friend, Serenity Ruiz. She had been throwing baby carrots at me from across the lunch table we were eating at. I had asked her to stop and when she didn't I threw my water at her. Immature, I know, but it's okay we're best friends.
"And you're a bitch." She replied and Nate started laughing along with Alyssa and Daniel who had been engrossed by our little show. I smiled at Serenity who smiled back after rolling her jade, green eyes.
"So I was thinking we should go to the movies Friday night and then grab something to eat afterwards." Daniel stated after he stopped laughing. Everyone was up for it and started arguing over what movie we should watch.
"Sorry. I'm working Friday night." I knew I had turned into a stormy cloud which rained on their parade by the glares they shot at me. I worked at the Pacific Wave Surf Shop five days a week and since I had called in sick yesterday, steve asked me to work Friday night.
"We can do it saturday night, unless of course, somebody is busy that day too?" ,Serenity asked after a few minutes, giving everybody daring stares. We all agreed as the stupid bell alerted us that lunch was now over, so we all said bye since neither of us had fourth period together. I walked over to a nearby trashcan and tossed in my white styrofoam tray. As I walked over to fourth period I ran my fingers through my dark black curls and felt something. I hurriedly pulled it out and threw the baby carrot on the dark, green grass with a frown on my face. Serenity!
I never liked my last class because one, it was advanced english, and second because Ethan Clark and his stupid disrespectful friends, Xavier and Ayden, were in there. I didn't dislike Ethan as much as Xavier and Ayden, but he had his days where he would act like a total douche as well. I've never understood why rich, popular, teenagers were so ignorant and lived as if the world revolved around them.
I sighed and took my seat at the back of this hospital looking classroom. Our teacher, Mrs. Smith, mindlessly shut the door after the second bell rang and took attendance. Once she got that out of the way she worked her way to the front of the class to get everyones undivided attention.
