"Where are you going right now?", Ethan asked, in an interested tone. I openned my locker and reached for my AP calculus textbook. Yes, I was taking an AP math course.

"Oh, I don't know. It's 3:10 on a weekday. Maybe I'm going home." I responded to him with sarcasm, but mostly because that's just how I am. Ethan rolled his beautiful greenish eyes and glared at me.

"Well I figured you were heaading over to the Surf or the gym. You don't have to give me attitude." Ethan went on, but I stopped listening because from the corner of my eye I spotted Jeremiah walking my way. Jeremiah was also an honor student and he was very handsome. He knew how to dress and he was respectful and also played baseball. I quickly shut my locker to make me look as if I was so caught up in my own little world.

" Hey Amber. How's your day?", he asked in that cool, nice voice of his. I smiled and faced him.

"Pretty good. Thank you for asking. How's your day?"

"So far so good. I'll catch you later okay?. Bye"

"Bye." I said and started walking towards the student parking lot. Somebody slightly elbowed me and I jumped, dropping my car keys. It was Ethan. I completely forgot that he had been talking to me before Jeremiah showed up.

"Your boyfriends pretty cool, considering the fact that he didn't mind you talking to me." Ethan stated, in almost a joking manner. I glared at him and kept walking.

  "He's not my boyfriend."

"Oh, well your crush. Whatever, same thing." I looked over at Ethan who was now chewing on some licorice. His black jansport was swung over his left shoulder and the small pocket was opened. Probably from where he got his candy from. His arms were very well toned with great biceps. His pecks were a decent size and you could right away tell he has an 8-pack.

"I don'y have a crush on him, but I wouldn't blame you for thinking that way. I mean, he's so handsome!" I clenched my fists in an exciting manner. I reached my car and waited for Ethan to leave. I noticed he clenched his jaw when I said Jeremiah was handsome. Ethan even closed his backpack and thoroughly put on his backpack with a straight face. What?

"Well I gotta get going." I quickly got in my car and strapped on my seatbelt. Without another word, I shut the door and reversed out of the parking space. By the time I was on the street Ethan was already next to his truck. I don't know about today, but I know Ethan and I would make pretty cool friends. He's not that bad for some rich, popular boy.

It was 3:40 now and I was making dinner before heading to work. I was making roasted chicken with a potato salad and some mexican salsa on the side. I love Mexican food even though my family and I are Italian. As I was finishing up my father strolled into the kitchen and sat down on one of our black chairs. He took the car magazine from the center of the dinner table and looked over it.

"You're cooking again?", he asked in a happy tone. Let's just say I go Chef Ramsi in the kitchen. I smiled and nodded. I walked towards the brown, polished cupboards where we kept our plates and glass cups. I pulled down two vanilla, cream colored plates and two shiny, glass cups. Firstly, I served my father and then I served myself. In no time the glass cups were filled with cinnamon tea and placed next to each full plate. I sat down after washing my hands and then my father calmly washed his. He dried his hands on the kitchen towel which hung on one of the empty chairs.

"How was school?" he asked as he shoved a spoon full of pasta into his mouth. My dad was 40, but he looked 30, same with my mom. To me, they never looked a day older and that was a good thing. I guess. I swallowed my food before responding.
