Chapter 15

*Matt's POV*

"Why does it take so long for her to text me back?" I asked myself as I checked my phone for any possible new messages from Vikki "ugh" I sighed "I guess I'll go get some cereal.... I'm talking to myself." I got up and tossed my phone on the couch.

"Knock knock!" Josh yelled as he barged in through my door

"Come on in!" I yelled back sarcastically from the kitchen.

"Are you as fucking excited as I am?" Josh yelled as he stole the bowl of cereal I just poured. "Just imagine it. By the time this album is released, we won't be playing in run down coffee shops. Maybe we can go somewhere huge."

"Like a different province?" I asked.

"Think bigger, Matt." Josh huffed.

"Maybe we can go on a worldwide tour!" I exclaimed

"We can fucking conquer the world!" Josh said slamming his fist on the table.

"Calm the hell down, Josh." I said. "Let's try to get at least ONE fan before we talk about conquering the fucking world."

"You're right." He said. "I'm just really fucking excited."

We started to walk back out into the living room, when my phone buzzed... I slid my bowl across the kitchen counter, definitely spilling milk everywhere. Then I jumped over the recliner, made a beeline for the couch, and did a superman dive face first into the couch.

I flipped open my phone to read the new text message from Vikki.

Vikki: 'hey'

I smiled at my screen, and typed my message.

Matt: 'what r u doing today? Maybe u can come over?'

She instantly texted back this time.

Vikki: 'ok. Whitney is coming too, be right there'

I smiled and put my phone down.

"Whitney and Vikki are coming over" I shouted to josh.

"Matt" Josh said "do you think me and Whitney spend too much time together?"

"Well you live together now, so it makes sense" I said.

"I think she needs to spend some time without me." Josh said "maybe I'll go home and let you three hang out"

"Well you gotta do what you gotta do, man. I'm not gonna tell you otherwise" I said. "If you think that's what she wants, then go for it"

"I don't think its what she wants. Its what she needs." Josh said " I don't want her too attached"

This is really confusing. Josh was acting a little weird. I think that he's planning on breaking up with Whitney, but I don't know why he'd ever do that.

"Josh, did something happen between you and Whitney?" I asked.

"Well, no." Josh said hesitantly.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Last night... We uh... Did it." Josh said. "And I'm not too sure what happens after you take that step in a relationship. All my other ones ended badly, and I don't want it to happen again... Not this time."

"Josh, I don't think avoiding her is going to help much" I said.

Josh was quiet for a bit, because he knows that I'm right. I'm always right.
