We get to the hotel in no time. After that awkward situation, I tried my best to not talk or even look at Reed. I'm almost 100% sure he's tried to talk to me a few times now. I just pretend that my music is up so loud that I can't hear anything. The music is actually turned off.
"Excuse me!" Lauren shouts, pushing through the crowd of guys to get to me.
"You good?" I smile and shake my head at my best friend.
"Yes. But, you're not." She grabs my arm and starts pulling me away.
"Ow, what?" I push her hand off and frown.
"You puked on Reed Lawrence!" She squeals.
I roll my eyes. "Don't remind me."
"I was kind of expecting it from you. The traffic got bad at some point." Lauren shrugs and goes back to grinning like an idiot. "What happened in the bathroom?"
"Ugh, Laur, nothing happened. He cleaned up, I cleaned up. That's all." I walk back to where everyone is getting their bags and cross my arms over my chest.
"But, it's Reed. Something had to have happened." She insists.
"But, it's me too. I don't do anything." I glance back at her and grab my 2 bags from the driver.
"Wait!" Lauren gets her bags and follows me inside the lobby.
"Let's just drop the subject, Lauren. You know how much I hate him." I sigh and wait with everyone else for Coach to make his way inside. We've got like 3 other chaperones with him to keep us in line. I honestly doubt they're going to do anything. I heard them talking about the bar on the way in here.
"Fine, Anna." She concedes and goes silent.
"Nice job, sis. You managed to puke on the way to a championship and it was also on one of my best friends." Oliver walks up to me with a smirk plastered on his face.
"Shut up. I don't want to hear it. I told you I'd get car sick. I tried to go to sleep but someone had to have their way." I cross my arms across my chest and raise my eyebrows at him.
"Okay, gee I didn't think you were that mad." He puts his hands up and walks away with Ethan.
"I swear, I won't make it a week with this kid." I mutter as Coach comes in.
"Everyone, I checked you in. Come to me and get your room keys. Lights out at 10 and tomorrow morning at 8 o'clock sharp we have practice." He raises the envelopes and I practically lunge to get mine before Reed does.
Reed, out of nowhere, snatches ours before I could and wiggles his eyebrows. "Come on, nerd."
I frown at the nickname and take my bags, trying to keep up with him. "Slow down, a girl could go so fast."
"And I'd like to find out how fast." He winks and I gag. "I'm holding the elevator."
"I see." I step in and wait for it to ding at our floor. We both step out and look for room '1679'. After a few minutes of silence, I spot it and stop next to the door.
"What are you doing?" Reed turns around and cocks his head.
"Our room is here, asshole." I roll my eyes and point.
"Oh. No need for the profanities." He takes a card out of the envelope and slides it through, pushing past me to walk in.
"Ladies first, thank you." I mumble and close the door behind us.
"Can we order room service? I'm starving." Reed drops his stuff and runs to jump on one of the beds.
"You're such a child." I place my bags down in front of the second bed and sit down.
