Our Past

Chapter 3

Melody's POV

I was instantly teleported to my first memory. I hate this memory.

"Lu! Where's mommy and daddy?" I yelled at Luna. I was a foal at this time. "I don't know Mel, maybe-" BOOM!! "LOOK OUT!!" Luna screamed. There was a fire ball headed strait for my little brother Shadow. He was a new born Pegasus. I wasn't going to let him die. As quickly as I could, I jumped in front of him and covered him with my body. Like a shield. I closed my eyes tight as the fire ball hit me with pure force. I heard a voice whisper "damn it..she got in my way." I fell off of Shadow who was now crying. "Melody!!" I heard Luna scream as she came running to my side. "I'm *cough* ok." I heard a sigh of relief come from Luna. I got up an walked to the hole in the wall and looked out only to find our kingdom burning. Complete chaos. All of our subjects lying dead. I saw my mom fighting another alicorn and my dad fighting what looked to be a very powerful unicorn. "Mommy! Daddy! Watch out!!" I yelled but I was to late. Luna had come to join me. Then it happened. I watched as my mother was stabbed in the heart by the mystery Alicorn. And I watched as my father was struck with a dark magic that went right through him. "NOOOO!!!" I cried. Luna cried as well. "Hahaha!!" They laughed evilly in triumph. "You'll pay for this one day! Mark my words!" I was able to bullied up enough magic to strike the stallion. "Arghhh!! You little BRAT!!!" He screamed. "Sombra, it's ok we've already won. We will come back for her later...." I heard the alicorn whisper to him. "Fine! You haven't seen the last of us!!" They screamed as they teleported away. I had been panting because of how much energy I used when I struck this so called "Sombra" person. "Mommy! Daddy!" I yelled as I flew down to them from a great hight. I was struggling but I managed to get to the ground safely. "Mommy? Daddy?" I whimpered. I knew my father was surly dead. The dark magic that struck him went right through his body there was no hope of him surviving. "Melody..." "Gasp! Mommy?!" I turned to my dying mother. Her wound was very deep. I started to cry. "Don't cry sweetie....your dad ad I will be in a better place now. We will be there to watch over you. I love you. Same to you Luna." I heard Luna crying behind me. "I love you to mommy! Please! Please don't leave us!" I watched as tears rolled down my mothers face. I stated to sing to her in hopes that she would have a peaceful death. My mother closed her eyes and I knew he was dead. I hugged my mom and dad as I started sobbing uncontrollably. Luna had started sobbing to. She came over and hugged me and my parents. Luna looked down an then up at me. "Melody! Your cutie mark! You got your cutie mark!" She choked put through sobs. Of course I was happy to have gotten my cutie mark but I had gotten it in the worst way.  "Melody judging by your cutie mark it looks like your the princess of song." Luna said yet again through sobs. I didn't reply I just sobbed. "W-what are we g-gonna tell C-Celestia?" Celestia is my older sister as well. She hadn't know I was born because she had left to go do something after Luna was born. I was born only 3 minuets after Luna. I think that's it's best that she does t know I'm her sister. "I don't k-know..." Luna replied. I wiped away my tears and stood up. My purple mane and tail were very messy from crying and the whole fire ball almost killing me thing. I had not yet been corrinated(yes I know I spelled it wrong A/N) as a princess yet so my mane was still purple. "Luna can you help me move mom and dad over on that cliff?" "Sure" She said sadly. We both used our magic to pick them both up and move them. We laid them down nicely. I found a broken piece of stone. I carved this into the stone:

I leaned the stone against the tree that was in front of my dead parents. "Alright let's go. We have to move on and build a new kingdom and find Celestia. I picked up Shadow and put him on my back. It started to rain an get cold so I covered him with my wings. "Luna we should put an aging spell on Shadow so that way he can stay a new born foal until we take the spell off." "Ok let's do it." Our horns touched and we put the spell on him. We stopped for a moment so Luna could raise the moon. Soon after we continued to walk onward.
