October 7th, 2014. 7:06 am.

So I am riding a bike with a hot girl on the handlebars and screaming like a female banshee on her period while three burly, muscle-y football players chase us. Yeah, its not as weird as it sounds. Okay, so maybe it is.. But in my defense, I was just walking to school when that new girl with the amber eyes ran towards me with a crazy grin and frazzled hair. Not a good sign. That was sign #1.

"HEY! YOU!" she exclaimed running towards me yet out of breath. I had no idea how she was able to talk.

"Uh, me?" I replied dumbly.

"Yes you, blondie. I need your help." That was sign #2.

I rubbed the back of my neck with uneasiness. There was something seriously wrong in this situation.

"Yeah sorry, not to burst your bubble but um, I don't really think I-" but I was cut short by a bunch of loud hoots and hollering coming from a block away.

I froze and stared at her with unblinking eyes.

"Please tell me those aren't a bunch of guys going after you and you didn't do anything crazy." I said with a small ray of hope that she wasn't completely insane.

But, she slowly gave me a chesire cat grin that made my insides flip with nervousness. I never forgot this day and her grin became etched in my mind. Saved to a new file in my brain that was called Leah Thompson. I've gotten used to her creepy smile by now and of course I am seemingly immune to it. But, at the time her grin had the same effect as it does to other people, I became terrified. This was sign #3.

She wiped away a coat of sweat on her forehead and started towards the school bike rack.

"Can you ride a bike?" she asked as if I was a small kid who was naïve and inexperienced. Not that I was very far off though.

I narrowed my eyes at her and scoffed. "Of course I can. Most people can. In fact, I can do some tricks if you want to see them." Smooth Jesse, real smooth. I couldn't do tricks. I still have no idea why I told her that and looking back I really want to strangle myself. It eventually came back to bite my dumb, pale ass.

"I may have...done something involving thongs and sweaty football players." She started saying. The hoots had gotten closer and I realized they would see us soon. " I need you to ride this, don't worry about me." She said seeing my expression. It must've been pretty bewildered. " They're like 100 feet away now. When I say go, you're going to hop on this bike, put the pedal to the medal, and pedal as fast as humanly possible towards the south entrance of our school. Got it?"

I nodded my head very fast and didn't question how she knew about the south entrance of school when it was her first day.

"1,2, 3 and GO!!" Immediately adrenaline pumped through my veins as I heard the near sounds of pounding footsteps and angry grunts. I leaped towards the bike, almost graceful, but not and somehow managed to put the kickstand up. I started pedaling before realizing she was nowhere in sight.

My confusion lasted about 3.2 seconds as she appeared out of nowhere and swung herself onto the handlebars screaming at me to go. Oh, she was good. I started pedaling furiously while trying not to think of the group of angry football players about 30 feet behind us.

The moment was perfect. They were falling behind, I could steer even though she was blocking my line of sight and she was screaming with glee. I took my attention off of steering and looked up at her.
