Okay I know how damn long its been. I have been slowly adjusting to the school schedule and even though we're about three months in, trust me it takes a while. And I also just realized that I got three stars which actually makes me really happy to know there are people reading my works. I do appreciate it. So, I encourage y'all to read the following recap so none of the next chapter is confusing. ALSO- I have decided to add the actual day so it's not as confusing and eventually I'll go back to the previous chapters and do this. Thanks for sticking with, and I hope you enjoy this chapter ;).

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

Recap:

Oliver is asked out by Jenna. Jesse notices suspicious behavior between Annika and Marco such as a bruise on her wrist and Marco saying "uh" which almost never happens unless he's hiding something. Jesse helps Lindsay Johns, the cheerleader from the Halloween party, when her tires are slashed and her car is vandalized by a football jock. When he's driving her home, she gets unusually quiet when Marco answers Jesse's phone. Jesses promises to take care of the jock who has been bullying her since freshman year. At home, he gets a text from the same unkown number that texted him in the first chapter. The text reads: see you saturday :)

Saturday, November 8th 10:02 am

I woke up to the smell of smoke from a wood burning fire. One of my favorite smells. I slowly opened my eyes and I heard gagging and coughing from my side. I looked over and there was Marco dramatically coughing from the smell and fake wheezing.

"Maybe if I ignore it, it'll go away." I said out loud still waking up.

He snickered and then graciously landed on me while trying to close the window. I grunted from the impact and shoved him off of me.

"Get off, asshole." I said now fully awake.

He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and then pursed his lips.

"You know how much I hate that smell. Who is that anyways? Is it that old lady Ms. Feathers? She hates me man." He said resting his face on his elbow.

I rolled my eyes at this and pushed myself off of my bed.

"Her name is Ms. Weathers and no, it's not her. It's probably the Alexander's next door having their monthly Sunday football party. They like to have a fire in their outdoor fireplace."

He nodded at this and then reached for his phone while I splashed my face with cold water. It was literally the only way to wake me up besides coffee. I only started doing it this past summer though. Marco does it all the time and he "introduced" me to it. By introduced, I mean he asked me to come in his bathroom after I slept at his house. Then as soon as I walked in and barely said "what?" he splashed my face with water even though I was standing like five feet away from the sink. That was fun.

But it actually seems to work for me. So, why not?

"Dude, did you see how hot Mindy Gallingher got after she graduated? I mean shit." Marco was now lying on the floor scrolling through Instagram.

I sighed.

This week sucked ass. I almost got detention in English class when Mr Wener gave me a B- on my English essay. I had only had two cups of coffee so naturally, I insulted people. Except it was my teacher and I of course had to grumble about how Mr. "wiener" needed to get his weiner sucked. Or maybe it was that he needed to get laid. It doesn't even matter.

Because Mr. Weiner heard me. And the minute I looked up and saw two dark slits and a vein about to pop in his forehead, I knew I was royally screwed.
