Chapter 9: Proposing and Leaving the Tower

{Emma's P.O.V}
It's been 6 months since our first date. I had so much fun. We have been date for 6 months and have had a bunch of dates. I haven't told anyone but I'm 2 weeks pregnant. I haven't told anyone because I don't want Clint to know and not go on missions. We live in a farm house and no one knows about it but Clint, Nat and I. I am not in the avengers anymore so I am always at our house, or sometimes at the Avnvegers tower. Clint and I are going on another date tonight and we are doing the same thing as our first one. I think I will tell Clint tonight at the date.
Nat came into my room at about 9 am and said "Are you excited for tonight?" I nodded but said to her "I might as well tell you now because everyone will probably know by tonight but..." she looked at me in confusion and said "Well? Is it good or not?" I smile and say "it's good but I want you to be the first to know." She smiles and says "C'mon out with it!" I start laughing because it's ironic what she said and finally said "I'm pregnant." She looks at me then smiles and hugs me! She says "Yay! How far along are you and all that?!" I laugh and say "I'm 2 weeks and nothing bad so far!" She starts smiling and then said "Wait how long have you known and why didn't you tell me yet?!" I laugh and say "I've know for about a week and a half. I didn't say anything because I wanted it to be a surprise and if Clint knows he will be worrying about me non stop. But I'm gonna tell him tonight." She says "finally I've been waiting to be a freaking aunt for months now!" I laugh and say "it's finally coming true. And then Steve will be the uncle because of you 2" she laughs and says "yea and do you know when Steve is gonna propose?" I say "Sometine soon but I never told you that!" She smiles and nods.

~*Time Skip to Date*~

Clint and I are driving to the date and he looks excited and nervous. But I can't talk because I probably look the same. He glances at me and smiles and says "You look excited," the frowns and says "you also look nervous. What's the problem?" I smile and say "No problem just excited for our date. And you will be excited to." He looks at me and says "What are you talking about?" I laugh and say "You'll have to see later!" He nods and we are finally at the beach. He decides to have the same food as the first date. We go on a walk on the beach after dinner. We get back and looks at me and says "Emma, we have been friends for years now. We have also been dating for 6 months. We both know everything about each other and we both love each other. So I was wondering... Emma Goodwin will you marry me?" I smile and nod and say "Yes! I would love to marry you!" He smiles and puts the ring on my finger. He then says "So what was that thing you were talking about in the car?" I smile then smirk and say "You are getting married to someone who is pregnant!" He looks at me wide eyed then says "Are you joking?" I shake my head and say "I am 100% serious right now!" He smiles wicked big and says "I'm going to be a father? I'm going to be a father! How long have you known? How far along are you?" I smile and say "Well I've known for about a week and a half. I am 2 weeks pregnant though!" He looks at me then at my stomach and smiles. He looks at me and says "How long until you start showing?" I say "I don't know but it might be soon!" He smiles and puts a hand on my stomach and says "I can't believe I'm going to be a dad! I'm so excited! We have to talk about names and stuff!" I say to him "we can talk about names later because we have to wait to see what the gender is!" He is just smiling and then I lay down so he lays down next to me. I put my head on his chest and he puts and hand on my stomach. I mumble to him "When are we gonna tell the avengers? And are we even going to tell them?" He says "Depends on what you want to do. I want to tell Nat though." I look at his face and say "I told her this morning because I couldn't wait to tell her any longer." He looks at my face and says "Then we don't have to tell anyone about it. We can just have you down at the house so you don't have to worry about anything." I nod and say "That's a good idea but when are we going to tell them about the house and the baby. I kinda want to wait until we have to tell them." He just nods and says "then that's what we will do." We get in the car and head to the tower.
The next morning
I have my stuff packed and we are leaving in an hour or so. We have to go shopping and get everything ready at the house. I go to Nat's room and knock on the door. She opens it and says "So what's going on?" I smile sadly and say "We are leaving and I'm staying away. You can visit anytime. We decided not to say anything about that, and we are leaving in a couple of hours." She looks at me and says "Don't worry, I will visit you a lot. But what are you going to say about leaving?" "I'm just gonna say 'I am leaving and I will visit when I can.' But I think they will want to know, but I'm not gonna say anything, or I'm just gonna say 'I'm retiring'. I guess that's a good excuse." She nods and says "Do you have everything packed?" I nod. Clint comes up behind me and wraps his arms around my stomach. He says to her "I'm gonna miss you Nat. I don't know when I'm coming back but I will when I can." She smiles at us and says "I will miss you both, good luck!" We smile and give her a hug. We walk out and see every Avenger in the living room type thing. We walk up and I say. "We are going to be leaving, Clint is still gonna be working here though. I'm leaving for good and I want to say goodbye!" Clint speaks up saying "I will visit a lot but I don't know when. Emma will visit every once in a while though." They all nod and give me a hug. They all say goodbye and we leave.
