The air was warm around me and I could hear quiet murmuring close by drowned out by the humming sound of a machine and loud frequent beeping. Where was I? I opened my eyes but quickly shut them, the brightness burning my sight.

I was in a hospital. I knew from the firmness of the mattress, definitely not my bed, and the strong smell of "clean" which pricked at my nose.

I heard a cough in the room with me and I tried opening my eyes again to see Luke slouched over in a chair beside my bed.

"Hey" I said weakly reaching out to nudge his arm that was resting on the edge of the bed railing.

"Vic?" Luke asked opening his eyes a weak smile on his face. "Welcome back"

"Where'd I go?" I asked looking around the room a little more. It was plain, a dull blue curtain separating me from the coughing patient on the other side.

"Don't know, you passed out for a couple days. The doctor said you were in some kind of mild coma." He answered rubbing his eyes. "We've been so worried"

It was then that I noticed Michael wasn't here. Luke seemed to notice my worry and chuckled. "He went home for a shower. He hasn't left your side since you were admitted, don't know what happened to your boyfriend though, we didn't know how to contact him"

Calum! Where is he? All I remember is Lilith's evil voice ringing in my mind.

'He cant help you Victoria, he's dead'

He cant be dead, he told me he would be here when I woke up!

"Hey, Vic, I really need to get a coffee, ill be back soon." Luke said hopping up and walking out of my room.

I took this time to figure out what has just happened. I was with Calum and then I went to sleep. How did Lilith get into my dreams? Or was it all real, shes done it before, who's to say she wouldn't do it again. I slowly rolled out of bed and stood up gaining my balance. I was so focused on not collapsing I didn't hear the curtain pull open and someone step in.

"What do you think you're doing gorgeous?" A familiar voice spoke behind me causing me to jump and fall back in bed.

"Thats better" Calum said a smile on his face as he walked up to my bed and pulled the blankets back over me, getting me right where I was before, right where I didn't want to be.

"Cal! What the hell happened?" I asked trying to sit up but he only pushed me back down.

"Lilith is was happened" he huffed. He pushed down the railing on my bed and gently sat beside me. "She got in your mind and screwed with you until you went into a panic. I couldn't do anything, you wouldn't wake up the next morning so i had to get you friends attention somehow." He stopped talking after that biting his lip.

"How'd you get their attention?" I asked

"I pushed you off your bed"

"You what!?" I cried before having Calum's hand over my mouth which burned like crazy.

"Shit sorry" he cursed jumping up.

"I cant touch you, at all, I'm so sorry"

"Why?" I asked confused. The skin around my mouth hurt and there was most likely a red mark where his skin touched mine.

"The curse, they strengthened it. Nothing can fight it now, not even our love"
