Chapter 7

Jace's P.O.V

I'd never thought there would be a time like this where my best friend is lying on a hospital bed fighting for her life. I remember the first time we met was when we were 8. T saw me sitting there all alone when she came to me and asked if I wanted to be her friend and she promised that she didn't have cooties, I immediatly sprung at the idee of having a friend and we we're and still are the best of friends from then onwards. "You can't do this" I tell her "you can't leave me now, not after everything we have been through together" the tears start falling "you promised you'd never leave me just please don't break your promise now or ever" by now I'm clutching her shoulders "please I don't know what I'd do without you! Your my best friend and no one can ever take that place so you better wake up T please, please just wake up-" before I can say more the door opens and her dad walks in looking worried. "Jace what happend? What happend to my baby girl" he asks me with the most haertbroken expression on his face. "She was driving to school when a drunk driver" this time a sob excapes my lips "when a drunk driver crashed into the side of her car" another sob "the doctors say that she slipped into a coma that she has a concussion three broken ribs and her left arm is broken" a shudder escapes "when they called me she was in the ER they told me that" a sob "that they don't know if she's gonna make it" as my words registers in his mind he suddenly falls onto the ground holding himself while crying. At that I walk to him offering my support, after that I walk out. Standing there in the hallway I look around at everyone bustling in and out of rooms, some going this way others going that way. "Jace" looking up I see Jenni running towards me, opening my arms she immediatly envelopes herself there, "oh Jace what happend is Tori okay?" She asks me panicked, "she, she's in a coma Jen, the doctors they, they don't know if she's gonna make it" as the words leave my mouth the full reality of whats happend hits me and I breakdown right there on the floor in the middle of the coridor with Jenni's arms around me trying to comfort me to the best of her ability.

Jayden's P.O.V

Hearing that Victoria was in a accident my haert stops for a few seconds and then it starts again beating faster than ever before, running after Jace we get in the car heading to the hospital, getting out we run in asking about her. They tell us that she's still in the ER and that we have to wait. Half an hour later my phone rings and I see that it's my mom getting up I go outside and answer, "Jayden where are you? The school just called and they say that you have skipped school, now you tell me mister where the hell are you?" My mothers angry voice comes through, "calm down mom I'm at the hospital my-" before I could further explain she cuts me off, "the hospital?! What are you doing in the hospital? Are you hurt please tell me that you're not hurt please?" She panicks. "Mom no I'm fine, I'm not hurt but my friend got in a accident, a drunk driver drove into the side of her car and now we're at the hospital waiting for any news" I tell her, "oh I'm so sorry honey I hope your friend gets better" she tells me, "okay mom I'm gonna go bye" I end the call and go back inside to wait. After a few hours a nurse comes out and tells us what injuries she has, after I ask her if we can she her but she says that only one at a time. Jace tells me to go first, walking into her room I look up and the tears start to fall, she's lying on the bed with a thousand needles and wires going along her body, going to her side I begin to talk. "Now you have to wake up okay? We need you here okay? You can't leave us, you just can't okay? I wont let you!" Closing my eyes I kiss her forhead turn around and walk out the door, there Jace stood, I tell him that it's his turn, I see him walk in and I slide down to the floor, I can't believe that she's in the hospital, I hope the fucker that caused this goes to hell for hurting her, after a half hour I see a man resembling Victoria walking into her room with worry etched into his face. Getting up I head for the door and call a taxi to take me back to school, getting out I give him the money and get into my own car driving home. When I get home all the lights are off and it's then that I remember that they're on a bussness trip. Walking in I turn on the lights and go to my room there I pull out a bottle of whiskey and begin drinking, half way through with the bottle I get in bed and sleep, that night I dreamed of her, of Victoria and me together for etirnity.

The next two weeks I get up go to school and then the hospital praying every day that she wakes up. That Monday I went ahead of my day like usual getting up and going to school then to the hospital. Driving to the hospital I suddenly get this weird feeling in my chest, getting out I go to her room like usual and the sight before me stops my haert. There are doctors and nurses running in and outside her room, stoping a nurse I ask her what's going on? Smiling she tells me that Victoria's awake, as the words leave her mouth my haert stops beating and then starts beating again double time, walking into her room I see her sitting there answering quistions and looking beautifull while doing it, suddenly she looks up straight into my eyes and smiles the most beautifull smile she has at me, opening her arms I walk straight into them pulling her closer to me, closing my eyes I breath in her scent and smile. She's awake thank heavins for that, pulling away from me she says "hey you, did you miss me? Did you really think you could get rid of me that easily?" At that she raises her eyebrow still with the smile on her face, laughing I tell her "no and you wouldn't dare we need you too much here", at that Jace and Jenni walks in with food and drinks in there hands and smiles on they're faces.
