Chapter 17

-Robert-

"I'm going to ask this one last time, and I want the truth. WHAT HAPPENED?" The officer asked.

"Look first things and I'm not about to sing Iggys song. Imma need you to stop yelling in my face. I done told you multiple times that Donavan and I aren't on good terms. I got a call from a mysterious number which was Devon from my school saying they wanted to meet at the school and when I got there he tried to fight me, so I defended myself and that's when Donavan knocked me out. After that I woke up on the ground with Mari over me and I saw Donavan hurt so I did CPR to try and save him. THATS ALL!" I said for probably the 6th time on the last 2 hours.

"So if  Donavan knocked you out a supposedly "kid napped you" why did you try and save his life?" He asked like he was actually doing something in this "investigation"

"I tried to save his life because that's the type of person I am. See now if I had left and let the nigga die then I'd be a bad person and probably would be sitting in a cell for a good 20+ years and what I look like in jail? HAHAHAHA baby no. You wouldn't catch me behind a set of bars... Can I go now. I've told you everything and I'm really not about to say this AGAIN."

"You stay right here for a few more minutes." He said with a smug look on his face as he walked out he door.

-Joshua-

"I can see you really don't like Donavan cause you tense up every time I say his name. So why did you guys save him? What happened anyways?" The cop said, clueless as fuck.

"All I wanna do is see Robert. Today was suppose to be a special day for us but in here because of that dick head that deserves to be in the hospital. That nigga tried to kidnap Robert, for his reasons only God knows but I made it my job to protect him and that's what I did."

"Why not letting the police handle the situation, why take it into your own hands?" He said writing everything into his little note pad"

"I took it into my own hands because I know what would have happened if I left it to the cops to handle it on there own. Robert would be missing for days and you guys would say that you're trying to find him but you'll constantly get no where. Plus Mari and I got to the school just as Donavan was putting him into his truck. We followed him and chased him down until the accident happened. Now I've finished what I had to say. Can I go now?"

-Mari-

"Why the hell you got me in here. You question us while you should be questioning that punk ass boy being treating for his little cuts and bruises in the hospital" I don't even like cops. I'm gonna make his job hard.

"What happened today?" The cop asked with his partner standing next to him. If this suppose to be intimidation then need to try a lot harder.

"Well once upon a time ther-"

"Cut the crap and give us the story straight." He rudely interrupted me.

"Well considering the circumstances this situation is anything but straight. And if you want the story please don't interrupt the story teller. THANKS."

"Ok. Continue your story ma'am."

"I'm not even gonna fuck with ya anymore, I'm trynna get home.  What happened was that the day started off pretty normal. Robert and Joshua had a date today. I called Robert just to see what he was doing to make sure he wasn't going to go anywhere cause he didn't know about he date, it was a surprise. I asked what he was doing but he didn't give me a straight answer so I let it go but before he hung up the phone I heard some construction but I thought nothing of it. Later that day Joshua knocked on my door asking where Robert was and I said I didn't know. Us being amazing and all we put 2 and 2 together and figured out Robert was at the school cause of the sound of the construction. When we got to the school we saw Donavan putting Robert into the back seat of his car and driving off, so we chased after him like speed racer and ass we did Donavan almost hit another car swerving off the side of the street, flipping his car over. Point blank period... After all that Donavan's done to Robert you wouldn't blame us for wanting to just leave him there but Robert didn't want to so he gave him CPR trying to keep him alive until the ambulance got there." That was a long ass story. Looking at the cops they looked so interested like I was telling a bed time story I could have put them to sleep.

#2 hours later#

-Robert-

Finally they let me out! I could not sit in that room any longer. It was to dull, it needed some color. I wanted to draw a rainbow on the wall.

I saw Joshua and Mari talking and I ran up and hugged them. I thanked the both of them for everything they went through to try and save me.

"I love you guys so much, thank you. I don't know what I'd do with out you guys." I said giving Mari a hug.

I turned to Joshua and gave him he biggest hug I'll probably ever give a person. "You saved me again and I won't ever be able to repay you. You're really living up to you contact name in my phone babe. I love you." I said give him a kiss

"Let's go home"
