Chapter 16

-Robert-

I woke up with Mari hovering over me.

"Baby Cakes wake up. We need to get you out of here." She said patting my face softly but sternly. (BTW thats her nick name for me.)

I lifted my head up and looked around. We were in the middle of the street, I dont really remember what happend but I looked over Mari's shoulder and I saw what looked like Donavans car, it was flipped over.

"Why is Donavans car flipped over, Wheres Joshua?" I asked nervously.

"I'll explain later, right now we need to go." She said pulling me up to my feet.

She started pulling me tawords Joshuas car. I looked around and I saw Joshua sitting in the front seat. I took a moment to process everything that has happened and I pulled my arm out of Mari's grip.

"Wheres Donavan?" I asked.

Joshua gave me a questioning look before he spoke. "In his truck, you know the one he tried to kidnap you in."

I ran back to his truck and saw that he was still buckled into his seat. I opened his door and crawled in unbuckling his seat bealt and pulling him out, laying him on the ground. He was bleeding from the his head. I beant over to check if he was breathing and he wasn't so I started giving him CPR. I never thought Id use it but my sports medicine class came in handy.

Now I know what you're thinking... "Why are you trying to save someone who just Kidnapped you?!" I might be a bitch but I'm not heartless.

What the fuck is Robert doing?! Why is he trying to save this guy?!

I hop out of my car and rush over to Robert. I grabbed his arm pulling him away.

"What the hell are you doing?! He's done nothing but hurt you, why are you trying to save him?!" I said with anger building up.

"Because I'm not gonna sit back and let someone die. If I sit back and let him die I'm not any better than him." He said snatching his arm from me and goes back to giving him CPR.

I took out my phone and dialed 911 telling them our location and what had happened. It took them a few minutes to arrive but when they did they put Donavan on a stretcher and the police told Mari, Robert and I that they need to take us down to the police station to do some questioning.

This is going to be so much fun... (I'm being sarcastic)
