"Okay everybody, we've had an eventful day. Why don't we all retire for the night?" Ami suggested.

"That sounds wonderful. I'm exhausted," Lorelei said.

"Alright, let's get you back to the cabin then," Matt said. "Goodnight everybody."

Matt laced his fingers through Lorelei's and they walked through the woods to the small tire shack. When they got inside, Matt fell into bed. Lorelei stood at the end of the bed, staring at him with her hands on her hips.

"What?" he asked.

"Turn around. I need to change into my pajamas," she told him.

He covered his eyes and she turned around so she was facing the other way. Matt peaked through his hands and smirked. She was pulling her shirt off.

"If you don't close those eyes right now, I'm going to kick your butt," she warned.

"What? How did you..."

"Matt, the longer you stay with me, the more you'll learn about me. And one of those things is that I have eyes in the back of my head," she said.

He sighed and turned around, rummaging through the chest next to his bed. He quietly grabbed the box from the chest and tip toed over a spot by where she was standing. He got down on one knee and got into position.

Lorelei finished changing and turned around. When she saw Matt down on one knee, her hands flew to her mouth.

"What...what are you doing?" she asked him, her lips quivering.

"Princess, I've known you for almost all of my life, but never had I noticed just how wonderful and beautiful you are. You've made me so happy and I wouldn't trade a day with you for the world. I want to spend the rest of my life with you," he said. "Will you marry me, Princess?"

He opened up the box to reveal the homemade ring. She gasped. She couldn't believe he had taken time to craft her an engagement ring.

"Yes!" she exclaimed, tears rushing down her cheeks.

With a humungous smile on his face, he placed the ring on her finger and jumped up, wrapping his arms around her. She placed both her hands on his cheeks and kissed him with all of the passion she had in her body. She put her forehead against his.

"I love you," she breathed. "So much."

"More," he mumbled, pulling her back into a kiss.

Just as things were heating up, she pulled away.

"Wait, I have something for you too," she told him.

"What? Baby, you didn't have to get me anything!"

"But I wanted to."

She grabbed the box she had brought with her and handed it to him. He smiled.

"I was wondering what this box was for," he chuckled, sitting down on the edge of the bed.

"Open it up!" she demanded.

He tore through the cardboard with vigor until there was a wide open hole in the top. He reached in and grabbed the gift. Pulling it out, his eyes sparkled and his smile stretched up to his eyes.

"A hat? You got me a new hat?" he asked.

She smiled with a blush. "Yeah, I've seen you wearing this one," she said, reaching up and messing with the one on his head. "And it was looking a little raggedy so I figured I would get you a new one."

"I love it," he whispered, kissing her softly.

He took his old hat off of his head and placed the new one on. He went over and looked into the mirror.

"I love it, Princess. Thank you," he said. "Now you can wear my old one!"

He ran over and placed the old one on Lorelei's head.

She laughed. "No offense baby, but fedoras really aren't my thing."

"Fine, then we'll hang it up right here," he said, hanging it up on a hook by the door. "And when we have our first child, they can wear it all the time."

"Oh...so confident you're going to be getting into my pants Mr. Brown?" she asked him.

He smirked. She was being awfully forward. And he loved this side of her.

"I'm very confident I'll be getting into your pants Ms. Hawes," he said, stepping closer to her.

He approached her and she backed up, biting her lip. They finally backed up far enough where she fell back onto the bed. He crawled on top of her, pressing his lips to hers. They gripped one another and kissed passionately.

"So did you do it?" a voice came from the door.

Matt swiftly stopped kissing Lorelei and turned towards the intruder.

"Dude, really? A little privacy?" Matt yelled. It was Bam who was standing there.

Bam was smirking. "Oh, I'm sorry, did I interrupt something?"

Matt jumped up off of the bed and headed towards the door. Bam slammed the door with a chuckle. Matt quickly locked the door.

"Now where were we?" Matt asked.

"Nowhere," she said. "Come on, I just want to cuddle."

"But..."

"You can wait Mr. Impatient," she giggled. "Come lay with me."

Matt sighed and turned off the lantern. He crawled back into bed and held his woman close to his chest. They drifted to sleep in one another's arms.
