Two days had passed and Matt and Lorelei had still not spoken. Everybody in camp was beginning to notice the change. Bam and Gabe were trying their best to get things back on track with the two lovebirds, but nothing was working.

It was morning and they were all sitting around the fire eating breakfast.

"Can I make an announcement?" Rory spoke up. Everybody grew silent. "I have absolutely loved being here with you guys for the extra two weeks. I cannot thank you enough for hosting me and a special thank you to Mrs. Ami for being a second mother. Unfortunately, I believe today would be the right day for me to head home. If it wouldn't be a bother, I would like a ride back to town on the skiff."

"Aww, do you have to leave?" Bird complained.

"Yeah, I'm sorry Birdy. It's time for me to head back to my own home. I'm sure you guys are getting tired of me anyways," she replied.

"We could never get tired of you," Billy said. "We love having you. You're a huge help around here."

"The guys and I can bring you back today after breakfast," Bam told Rory.

"Thanks guys," she said, sitting down to finish her breakfast.

When everybody was finished eating, Rory gathered up her small amount of items and headed out to the beach with the family. Hugs and kisses went around. All except for Matt. He stayed in the background. Gabe, Bam and Bear hopped into the skiff with Rory. Noah wanted to stay on the island to work on some things. However, Matt usually came to town every time they went. This time he didn't.

As they pulled away from the beach, Rory couldn't help but to look back. While the rest of the family had already walked back to camp, Matt had remained. She waved at him with a small smile, hoping to get a response. He just shook his head, his hands shoved into his pockets and headed back to camp.

"I'm sure you guys will figure it out," Bam said after watching the encounter.

"I don't know, Bam. I think I might have lost my best friend," she told him, tears coming to her eyes. She didn't let them release though. She didn't want the men to see her weakness.

Bam wrapped his arm around her and kept it there throughout the entire ride, trying to show his support for her.

When they arrived in Hoonah, the two men insisted on walking her home. She had to stop by the store first to see if anything had arrived for her while she was gone. Nothing had, but as she was exiting the store, something caught her eye. There was a flyer on the billboard advertising a town wide bonfire that was going to be happening about a week from today.

"Guys come look at this!" she called over to the men. They came over and looked at the flyer. "You should come! There's going to be a bunch of girls there. Maybe you guys will meet someone!"

"I'll keep the date up in my mind and talk with the family about it when we get home," Bam said.

"How am I going to know whether you are coming or not?" she wondered, knowing that they didn't really have any way of communication.

"You'll know when we show up at the party," Gabe laughed.

"That's good enough for me," she giggled. "Come on, I'm ready to go home."

They walked her down the road to her house where they left her with hugs and kisses on the cheek.

"I love you guys," she said.

"More," they responded.

She blew them kisses as they walked off and then headed inside to spend some much needed time with her family.
