As i stared at the rain that was by now pounding against the window my mind went back a year ago, when Joe said the most beautiful thing, that i ever heard.
Joe called me from an lonely cold hotel room, just to hear me say "I love you" one more time (before he left for the airport) However when he heard our children laughing in the background, I could feel him wipe away a tear from his eye. A little voice came on the phone (Sarah- his 5 year old daughter) and asked" Daddy, When are you coming home?"
He said, " You'll understand this one day and so will Damon. But I'm already there sweetheart, just take a look around. I'm the shadow on the ground, I'm the whisper in the wind." A puzzled Sarah handed me the phone, I curiously asked, "Darling when are you coming home?" Wondering what Joe said to Sarah.
"Jenny, Baby" He replied, " I've told you so many times, I'm already there. I'm the beat in your heart, I'm the moon light shining down. I'm already there" There were his last ever words to his little girl, to his little boy and me...
We will treasure them words forever.
