Your POV
I embraced the warm sand under my feet as a I walked along the coast of St. Barth's. The crystal blue water glimmered under the sunlight, our friends jumping in and out of it constantly.
Justin was with his other friends at our rental house, and I decided to get out and explore the pristine beach.
"So beautiful," I spoke to myself, stepping closer to the water. The wet sand was cool and I was able to bury my feet into it. The waves that crashed against my feet made me feel like I was floating away, but I loved that feeling.
"I know you are," A voice spoke behind me, their hands creeping up to hold my waist from behind.
I gasped, turning around it surprise. Justin held my body against his, a bottle of beer hanging from his hand. He smirked at my expression and kissed my cheek.
"You scared me," I pouted, turning around to slap his chest. His toned body glowed under the sunlight that accentuated his many tattoos.
He shrugged and took a sip of his beer, humming in relief as it dripped down his lips.
I stood on my toes to press a kiss onto his lips, tasting the beer and the minty gum that he had chewed.
He broke away from the kiss, muttering against my lips.
"Let's go on the jet skis," He said, grabbing my hands and pulling me to the dock where the jet skis were parked.
When we got there, I waited for him to talk to the owner to get one. He turned around, asking me if I wanted to share one with him or have my own.
"My own, please," I smiled deviously, climbing onto one of them. He sat on the one beside me, revving the engine before smirking at me.
"Wanna race, babe?"
"Glad you asked," I smiled, speeding off and getting a head start. I heard him curse at me from behind, making me laugh as I sped through the water.
The sun was setting before us, the beautiful colors of the sky reflecting onto the ocean. The sky looked like it was hand painted by a famous artist, the beautiful colors blending so perfectly together.
Justin eventually caught up to me, bumping his jet ski into mine. I groaned, trying to get as far away as I could from him.
"You're a cheater!" Justin screamed out over the loud sound of crashing waves. I stuck my tongue out at him and drove my jet ski in a circle around him, splashing him with water. His hair fell flat onto his face, the dirty-blonde strands covering his eyes.
"You're just a loser," I teased him, racing back to the dock. He was still sad that I had won, so when we got off the jet skis, he pouted and told me he was going to ignore me for the rest of the night.
I laughed, shrugging my shoulders.
"Then you're not getting a New Year's kiss," I said jokingly, watching his eyes widen. Giggling, I watched him run after me.
"I take it back. I need that kiss," He winked, pulling his sunglasses off since the sun had gone down already.
We returned to the house, lounging in the living room that had the perfect view of the beach. Justin's friends were here too, and they sat and shared some drinks with us.
We joked and danced around to his new album until the time neared closer to midnight, finally making it a new year.
Justin stood beside me on the patio of the beach house, his arm wrapped securely around my waist. I leaned my head on his shoulder and felt him place a kiss on my head.
We were all counting down the time, our voices echoing across the empty beach.
"5, 4, 3, 2, 1... Happy New Year!" We yelled out, waving our sparklers in the air. Some of Justin's friends shot fireworks into the sky, and some of us threw confetti in the air.
Justin turned my body to face his, pulling me into his chest. His hands snaked down to my waist, gripping it protectively. His soft lips met mine, moving slowly as cheers and claps sounded in the background.
He smiled into the kiss, causing me to smile back and tug at the hair on the back of head. We continued kissing and I used my body to push him backwards into the house.
We stumbled into our bedroom, and he took control and pushed me onto the bed. Hovering over me, he caressed my face with his hands and trailed his eyes up and down my body.
"I'm so happy to be starting off my year with someone as beautiful as you," He breathed out, making my cheeks heat up and turn red.
"Happy New Year, baby. I love you," I replied, watching him lean back down to kiss me again.
