I woke up, got up out of bed, and shambled off to the bathroom to shower. When I got out, I threw on a pair of black tights, a purple skirt and a Rolling Stones tank along with a jacket. I picked up the backpack I bought yesterday, and checked to make sure the notebooks and pencils were in there. I slipped in my laptop, dropped my phone in a pocket in my skirt, and threw the bag on my shoulder. Before I left, I remembered to put my keyring and hotel card in my pocket as well, and I figured I would leave my guitar here for now.

I got off the bus and looked at the building, kids arriving just as I was, only most not on the city bus. I walked toward the building and everyone started looking at me, and I realized there were uniforms. The person on the phone must have forgotten to tell me. I stepped inside and I had no idea how to get to the office. I went up to a girl with a couple of her friends, and tapped her on the shoulder. "Excuse me, but could you tell me how to get to the administrator's office?" I asked, and she smiled and pointed me in the correct direction. I thanked her and soon reached the office. Anywhere I went I seemed to get stares, and it was really starting to annoy me. I was allowed into the administrator's office, and sat down at the desk. I was told I would have to start today if I had any chance of keeping up with my classes, was given a schedule. As I walked out with my schedule, I wandered around, trying to figure out where my first class, was and found it right before the bell rang. Again, everyone looked at me funny, and I was blushing like mad. The teacher seemed skeptical of me as well, and set down what he was holding. "Might I ask who you are?" he asked me. "I...I'm Amelia Dwitt." I stammered. I'm really not good with being put on the spot. "Well, Ms. Dwitt, do you want to to tell me why you've come in my classroom?" I held out my schedule. "I'm new, this was the first class on my schedule. Nobody told me about the uniforms." I told him and he took the schedule from my hand. "Seems your right. Take a seat." he said and I scurried to the back of the classroom and sat at an empty desk. I was given a gigantic pile of work and an algebra 2 textbook. I was grateful they placed me the class I would've been in at home, since my parents held me back a year. I wasn't asked any questions and soon the class was over. I glanced at my schedule and bit my lip, knowing how long it took me to find this room I'm going to be so late. I stumbled out of the classroom with everyone else, and a girl came up behind me. "Need a hand?" she asked kindly, and I realized it was the same girl as before. "Uhm, yes." I said and she took my schedule from my hand. She smiled and handed it back. "We're going to the same class." she told me and turned to go. "Well come on." she laughed. "I'm Penny by the way." She told me as we walked. "Amelia." I said and she laughed. "I know." she said and I laughed too, warming up to her some. She dove inside a classroom and I followed. I saw a lot of the same people were in my class. Walking up to the teacher's desk, she gave me an odd look as well. "I'm Amelia Dwitt. I just started today." I told her and handed her my schedule. She looked it over, and handed it back, telling me to sit anywhere. Again, I sat in the back. This was my world history class, and again, I was given lots of work with a textbook and was asked nothing.

I went to two more classes, french, and gym, then I had lunch. Instead of finding the lunch room I decided to go try and find the music room. As I walked the hall, I found it pretty quickly. I walked in and set down my book bag, then walked over to where I was happy to see three guitars on stands in the corner. I picked oe up and lightly strummed it, and sat down. It was pretty well in tune so I began to play a little. I closed my eyes as a exercise I do, starting to play small bump by ed sheeran. I missed a note as usual, and stopped playing. That's the furthest I ever gotten though. I opened my eyes and screamed. Three boys were sitting staring at me wide eyed. "Holy...shit..." I said in between breaths. "How long have you three been here?" I asked nervously. "We heard most of it before you stopped." one of them with green eyes said. "Sorry we scared you." another with darker skin and black hair said. "It's okay. It's my fault." I said standing up before something dawned on me. Three guitars, three boys. "Oh, fuck I'm so sorry!" I said as I scrambled to get up. they all laughed a bit. "Don't worry about it. You're really good." The one with blue eyes smiled. I laughed nervously and set the guitar back on the stand. "I'm Amelia." I said and held my hand out. Green eyes shook it first "Michael.", then blue eyes "Luke.", and finally black hair "Calum." I went to my bag and took out my lunch. "I want to hear you guys." I smiled. They blushed and picked up their guitars. They played a cover of blink 182's I miss you. I set down the juice box in my hand and applauded. "That was really good!" I said as they set down the instruments. "Michael you missed a lot of notes." I laughed. "I wouldn't have missed so many if someone wasn't making faces at me." Michael said sassily. "Who me? No I wasn't" I said with mock shock. "Liar." Michael said to me. "What did you call me?" I joked around. Michael stood in front of me "Li-ar." He said and turned his back on me. Noticing we weren't close to the instruments, I quietly stood up on the chair as Luke and Calum covered their mouths so Michael wouldn't suspect anything, and jumped onto his back. He grunted from the sudden weight, and almost fell in surprise. He regained his balance, and put his arms under my knees and started running around the room (avoiding the instruments). Everyone was laughing. "Onward my noble steed!" I said as he kept running. It wasn't long though before he had to put me down. Michael was panting and sweating. "You okay Michael?" I asked as he was bent over. "Yea." he said breathlessly. Soon he was fine and sitting in a chair by Luke, Calum and I. I pulled my chocolate bar out of my lunch and broke it into fourths. "Oh my god you have chocolate." Michael said grabbing his piece, as I handed them out. He immediately unwrapped it. "Wait it's-" it was too late. The chocolate was already in their mouths. "What." Luke mumbled around it, but then made a face and covered his mouth. "Spicy." He whimpered. "If you waited, I was going to tell you it was chili chocolate." I laughed. Calum and Michael had about the same reaction. I simply popped mine in my mouth, since I love that type of chocolate. "Amelia?" Calum prompted. "Yea?" "How come you don't have a uniform?" He asked. "Oh. Well it's my first day, and nobody had told me ahead of time about it." They all went pale in the face. "We are so sorry." Luke said. I looked at him funny. "Why?" "You kind of just missed two periods." He said shyly."What!" I said loudly.I looked at my phone and sure enough it was my second period after lunch. "Fuck." I said setting my head on a desk. "Ugh and I have a block right now too."  I pick my head up and smile. "Looks like you have to deal with me for another period. Unless you guys have to go." The boys laugh at me a bit and I laugh with them. "No we're good." Calum says. "We stay here one more period."  "Damn." I was surprised they were able to miss so much class. "Gym and free periods." Luke explained. "Oh. Mind if I play something?" I ask still feeling bad about using their guitar. "Of course!" Michael said enthusiastically. I picked up an instrument and Luke tossed me a pick. I started playing wake me up when September ends by green day and the boys seemed to recognize it quickly and sang along with me. When we finished we laughed because it honestly sounded pretty bad with one guitar. "Hey you sound like your part American." Calum mentioned. "Not exactly." I said. "My parents moved to the u.s. before I was born but they were from Australia." My smiled faded when I thought of how Great Lex used to live here too. "You okay?" Michael asked sitting next to me. "Uh yea yea I'm fine." I tried to reassure him.
