Chapter 5

Bens POV

WHERE IS HE? He was suppose to be home 30 minutes ago, and let's not forget that he didn't show up to the last half of school. Whom does he think he is, just running away. He has to understand that he can just do whatever he wants to do anymore.

The phone starts ringing right as the door bell rings. That must be k-unit, my parents had to cancel because my mom had to take a late shift at the hospital. I quickly answer the phone and walk towards the door and open it up before turning back around, they know to let themselves in.

"Hello, is this Ben Daniels."

"Yes, who is this?"

"This is Tom Harris, a friend of Alex and...."

"Alex! Is he okay, is he with you?"

"Yes he is, I was just calling you to tell you that I was about to bring him home."

"Okay thank you, this is a huge help."

"Your welcome , good bye."

I let out a breath of relief , now I don't have to send out a search team to find him in some alley or somewhere else in the city.

"New kid already giving you trouble." I hear snake ask from behind me. I turn and look at the 4 men that are standing in the kitchen.

Wolf is still the leader of the group, but in my house I do have the authority to boss him around a little bit . Eagle has a permanent smile on his face and always seems to make a joke out of something. Snake sits there with a caring look. He is gentle and always like playing with summer and April. Vamp is the newest of the team, he is called vamp after a vampire because he knows many ways to drain a person of there blood, but he is almost as carefree as eagle is, just a little more mature.

"Yeah sorta, he skipped the last half of school. A friend of his just called saying he is bringing him back here. There is actually something I have to tell you guys about the new kid." I tell them cringing on the inside as what I am about to tell them.

"Well the kid I adopted, you have all met except for vamp" I say hoping they would instantly know, but knowing them they didn't . I sigh at there confused faces and decide to just rip the band aid of.

"I adopted cub, from training ." It went unnaturally quiet after my confession. I looked around and they still have a confused look. Eagle talks first.

"I thought he was a rich daddies boy who begged to come to training?" I shake my head, yeah I thought the same until Australia.

"No, his parents died when he was only weeks old, his uncle died 2 years ago and his last care giver could care for him any more I guess. That's all I know, but guys he isn't the same kid from ca,p. He is wounded and hurt by what ever he has went through with MI6." I state in a firm voice .

"MI6, what doe you mean MI6. Did he work for them?" Snake asks. I nod my head. They all let out there protest. Wolf is quiet though, he has a thoughtful look on his face. He suddenly looks up and understanding dawns on his face .

"Og my god that poor kid. I went on a mission with him once, I thought it was a one time deal type of thing. I can't believe he went through all of that more the once. God." He runs a hand down his face in exhaustion.

"I went on a mission with him too. It was after yours, he told me you and him had met up once. But guys this mission was dangerous, and personal. Something really bad happened on this mission. And I don't want to know what else could have happened to him." Conner chose that moment to walk into the kitchen with Spencer and Slater right behind him. The youngest 2 squealed and laughed themselves into their uncles arms. I smiled from my spot. Who knew some soldiers would be this effected by a bunch of kids.

"Dad where is Alex . I edited for him to give him a ride, but Luna showed up and said he wanted to rude the bus. I was confused, since he doesn't like anyone touching him so I wanted to make sure he was okay. The kid seemed pretty lost today, and we didn't see him at lunch so...." Conner asked shrugging his shoulders at the end. I grew a little angry that Luna would do that to him, maybe he went to get a ride but then nobody was there to bring him home. I would talk to her about that later .

"He called and his friend is bringing him home. He should be home any minute." He let's out a sigh of release before sitting on the counter.

"I just wanted to make sure. He is by far in the worst condition then any of us when we first came home, just wanted to make sure ." I smile at him before the door bell rang. I stood up and walked to the door. I opened it and saw Alex and another boy outside the house, the other kid had his arm around Alex . Alex's head was laid on his shoulder with his eyes close. If I didn't know any better I would say he was asleep.

"Is he alright. I mean he didn't have any episodes?"

"He is gonna be okay, he is a little shaken up, but in time he will open up to you and tell you everything that you need to know." I furrowed my brows at his cryptic response before nodding. Alex lift his head and walked towards me, he lays his head on my shoulder and wraps his arms around my waist. This is the first time he has ever initiated any contact between us.

I slowly put my arm around his shoulders and thank his friend before closing the door. I bring Alex to the living room and sit down on the couch. He clasp down on top of me falling into my lap and hold me colder to him around my shoulders. I'm shocked by his change in personality, this morning he wouldn't even look at me.

"Alex are you okay?" I ask him softly. He shakes his head no and buries his face into my neck. I look up and see all the guys slowly fill into the room. They take a look at Alex before they're faces turn sad. They obviously didn't think he was this bad.

I hear mumbling from my neck. I turn suprised, dud Alex just talk? I slowly pry his head from my shoulder and look him in his tear filled eyes.

"Did you say something Alex . I couldn't understand you." I asked him softly not wanting to fire of any guns. He continues to stare at me for a few inured before he opens his ,out and blurts out 4 heart breaking words.

"Please don't leave me."
